correct me if I’m wrong, but Dave Chapelle’s “trans jokes” weren’t really jokes but a weird self-pitying monologue tacked onto the end of sets, sort of like how Dice would close with blues standards. I’m not really sure what is being “weaponized,” when that was always the intent.

@LeviBetz I don’t know, I got to meet him once after his show here stood outside the stage door with him for like 45 minutes talking, he talked with a girl in a hijab about politics that whole time. He was very savvy back then though he was holding half a bottle of kettle one.
