Utter charlatan. I can see why he appealed to Jenrick, whose convictions last for less time than an episode of newsround.

With the local elections coming up don't let the news media bury the truth about Farage, Nathan Gill and Russia. On September 16, 2014, Farage and Nathan Gill made speeches to the European Parliament parroting several of the same Russian propaganda lies. Could this have just been a coincidence? I don't think so. It looks coordinated. Either Farage gave Nathan Gill his talking points, or Russia was providing its talking points to both of them. They both called Ukraine "The Ukraine," a term which refers back to the old Slavic word for borderland, which Russia uses to deny Ukraine's nationhood. They both used the expression "poking the Russian bear." They both parroted the Russian lie that there had been a coup in Kyiv in 2014. They both parroted Russian lies about NATO and EU expansion. They both repeated the Russian claim that the real threat was Muslim extremism, a claim that Putin had very effectively used to distract Western leaders from Russian aggression and its hybrid war against the West. Reform UK initially claimed Farage barely knew Gill. That turned out to be a filthy lie. Let's follow the Hungarian example and get off our sofas into the polling booths to give Farage and his media backers a kick in the brexits that they will never forget.

Please repost if you agree that the BBC has been undermining democracy and enabling foreign interference in our politics by promoting and protecting Farage.

It’s the 15th April and today is your birthday. Today you are seven. I can hardly believe how old you’re turning, because you were only four when you died. You were 15 days away from being five. “Mummy? I hope when I’m five I am better.” You’d say and ask me all at once.

So far this week there has been extreme outrage because Kier Starmer, the UK Prime Minister: 1) Went on a 3 day minibreak to Spain and stayed in a £200 a night 4 star hotel 2) Spent £1500 on a sofa, and £1400 on a bed at his Downing Street residence (all Prime Ministers have, and have always used, a £30,000 annual allowance for this same residence). Does anyone else see how pathetic and desperate this all is? In a world where so many world leaders are openly corrupt to the tune of multi-billion dollars, that these people are digging so hard and so deep to fabricate a scandal where none exists? Outrage bait BS, and we all know it.

NHS CEO SACKED FOR TRYING TO PROTECT CANCER PATIENTS John Watkinson raised concerns about gastrointestinal cancer care at Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust @RCHTWeCare. In April 2009, he was dismissed. His crime? Refusing to let the NHS South West Strategic Health Authority quietly move a cancer service to Plymouth without legally required public consultation. He even obtained legal advice confirming a consultation was mandatory. The SHA called that advice "a severe irritant." So they got rid of the irritant. The board was told that if they did not go along with suspending Watkinson, the non-executive directors themselves would be removed and replaced with a more cooperative group. The former RCHT Chair described that as tantamount to bullying. The SHA denied everything. The employment tribunal in 2010 was not impressed. It found the appeal process was "a travesty of anything approaching basic concepts of fairness." The dismissal "flew in the face of any concept of fairness." Watkinson had been automatically unfairly dismissed for making a protected disclosure. He won. The Health Secretary then ordered an independent review into why it all happened. That review was published in January 2011. It was 175 pages long. Watkinson was 54 years old, unemployed, and had his house on the market. The SHA boss who oversaw the whole thing, Sir Ian Carruthers, had previously served as acting Chief Executive of the NHS. He also chaired the panel that recommended a knighthood for the man tasked with reviewing his conduct. You honestly cannot make this up. This is what happens when you tell the NHS something inconvenient. They do not argue with you. They just make you disappear. Source: gov.uk/government/pub…

So this article from the latest @PrivateEyeNews states that Teesside Freeport is going to close down. Considering Teesside Freeport was Sunak's flagship Brexit freeport/SEZ policy, which was one small cog in the wider free zones rollout, 74 SEZs, 12 Freeports, and now 5 AI Growth Zones, (all fully backed/extended by Starmer's Labour government), what are the implications for the rest of these free zones now that Teesside has collapsed? It should also be noted that the original amount of state aid allocated to each UK freeport was £25 million. Teesside freeport was lavished with £560 million in state aid, profits generated by this were 9 - 10 split in favour of the private sector. If Teesside required £560 million to fail, what's the true cost across the entire programme? Labour has inherited and expanded this architecture without apparent scrutiny of Teesside's financial implosion. How can the 9-10 private profit split be justified when public entities carry the debt?

You need to read this. @TimothyDSnyder has been warning us since 2016 on the risk Donald Trump poses. He knows: he’s one of the world’s leading experts on authoritarianism & has always been ahead of the game. V proud to publish him in @thenerve_news. He’s an essential voice.

Respect from our partners after years of Tory humiliation. One man has worked tirelessly to get us to this position.
Rob Jetten@MinPres

🇳🇱🇬🇧 In these times of geopolitical turbulence, it’s reassuring to have a partner and a friend in the United Kingdom, our good North Sea Neighbour. This was reaffirmed today during my visit to Prime Minister @Keir_Starmer in London.   Naturally we discussed the fragile situation in and around Iran. I expressed my appreciation for the UK’s initiative to contribute, with the Netherlands and other allies, to an open Strait of Hormuz. The closure of the Strait is having a big economic impact worldwide. At the same time, we are not losing sight of the war in Ukraine. Ukraine can continue to count on us.   Today Prime Minister Starmer and I also took part in a roundtable discussion with energy companies from our two countries, focusing on the current energy crisis that is having a major impact on households and businesses. We must also remain committed to finding long-term solutions, to keep energy affordable and stay on track for a climate-neutral future.

@SimonFoxWriter I don’t care what the attitude of a mad US President is. Frankly I am glad we have Starmer as PM right now. Not perfect - no PM ever has been - but by far the best on offer! Starmer has been a dependable ally but not a pushover!
