The last time I was stunned by a pilot was “Orphan Black.” The way the plot revealed itself, the economy of writing, and of course Tatiana Maslany’s performance. I was hooked.

If Catholic schools were a state, they’d be the highest performing in the nation on all four NAEP tests.

Definitely the future of television I had in mind was me having to google every movie I want to watch to see if it’s currently in one of its one-month windows on any of the seven streaming services I pay for. This is way easier than buying a DVD. I love it.

@Shelli_Rosen @elizashapiro I am not anti-vax. I was vaccinated and support teacher mandates. Data shows unvaccinated kids are less risky (not zero risk, but less) than unvaccinated adults. The hypocrisy of the teachers is infuriating

UFT + principals union both calling on the city to delay the deadline for the vaccine mandate. They are also both part of what appears to be an unsuccessful lawsuit to get rid of the full mandate altogether. NYC educators have been eligible for the shot since January.

@elizashapiro It’s the vaccinated teachers who should be supporting this mandate as their unvaccinated peers are more dangerous than the students ever were.

So if some educators are still refusing to be vaccinated, 9 months after the city set aside shots for them before many immunocompromised people, what indication is there that anyone will change their mind next week or the week after?

@angrybklynmom @NYCMayor @NYGovCuomo @RichAzzopardi 100% correct. Nobody will trust that mandates will ever cease regardless of hospital capacity. Nobody will see any point to getting variant boosters. A rerun to mandates will have long term adverse consequences for the economy and public health.
