I do not understand ice dispensers in hotels. I've never needed ice whilst staying at one, yet every hotel tells you where the ice machine is. Then I see people filling those little buckets. What are you all doing with the ice? Am I missing something?

My wife just went to the front desk of our hotel to “check out.” I told her I never check out, I just leave. I assumed they would figure it out. So now I have to ask. Do you actually check out of your hotel, or do you just leave?

If their IQ is too low to know right from wrong, then they need to be institutionalized. I don't care what kind of facility, but if they have such an extreme deficit it is unfair of us to keep them out in society where they are confused by the rules. Locking them up is the virtuous thing to do.

Unpopular take 78 degrees is perfectly fine for a house. Especially when it’s 98 degrees outside. There’s a 20 degree rule that your a/c can lower the ambient temp that far without running continuously under strain. This has nothing to do w/ Commie Mamdani it’s HVAC common sense. If you want to pay to cool it lower and set yourself up for repairs by stressing your system. Feel free, well except for the cost. I’m a whiny climate controlled softy these days. I did my suffering in the brutal heat for many years. I do 68 in the winter and 77/78 in the Summer . YMMV
