JICA and NCDA Make Joint Field Visit to Rutsiro Nutrition Activities: On April 23rd 2026, together with Mrs. Assumpta Ingabire, the Director General of @Rwanda_Child and Mrs. Dative Kayitesi, the Mayor of Rutsiro District and the JICA Rwanda team led by Dr. Haruyo Nakamura,  JICA Nutrition Policy Advisor, visited Congo Nile Health Center in the framework of JICA’s nutrition intervention. They interacted with mothers to assess the impact of using the fish powder, for those involved in the case study that includes lactating and pregnant mothers and children under five. Their testimonies underscored improved child wellbeing and stunting prevention through increased consumption of locally available animal-source foods. Thereafter, they toured Triumvirate Food Ltd, a nearby fish powder factory with a drying capacity of 300 kg every two hours and a grinding capacity of 2 tons per day. The owner was encouraged to explore existing agri-loan products tailored to SMEs and processing units, and to strengthen market access by targeting niche urban segments through digital platforms to build a self-resilient business rather than depending on sporadic demand. Guests appreciated the ongoing study led by Dr. Nakamura and look forward to the final results as there is a possibility scale up the consumption of fish powder to other districts. @iassumpta , @dative_kayitesi , @RutsiroDistrict , @RwandaWest #nutrition

La jalousie envers notre voisin le #Rwanda ne fera jamais avancer notre pays. Car pendant qu’à #Kinshasa les gens se concentrent sur les insultes et les accusations, le voisin, lui, travaille dur avec discipline, et les différents pays le considèrent comme un partenaire fiable. C’est ce qui produit ce genre de résultats. Nous devons tous, Congolais, travailler ensemble pour mettre fin à la crise, qui est due à l’incompétence des dirigeants actuels, lesquels favorisent le tribalisme et la corruption.

@LwarhibaM L'esprit critique se demanderait plutôt : comment l'armée rwandaise qu'on accuse de se déverser en RDC, tout en ayant d'autres missions, est capable de se projeter jusque ds le Caraïbes ? Le Rwanda est une vision africaine de l'excellence. Ça fait des mécontents. N'en soyez pas.
