This is such a wasted opportunity to keep really excellent doctors in Ireland. We are very quick to advertise non-training NCHD posts, but interns represent a better investment for the health service as today’s interns are tomorrow’s GPs and consultants. irishtimes.com/news/health/cu…

Why is #KeepOurDoctors so important? Every year, hundreds of Irish trained internationals are not given the opportunity to stay and serve the Irish healthcare system. This leads to issues with Doctor Retention as doctors migrate overseas. Trust, most want to stay and serve.
