My issue is with framing of the question and nuanced language that most people don’t see or care about that often leads to many ridiculous reports and rumors that end up being presented as fact.

Has @AdamSchefter talked about the AJ Brown trade rumors without starting with: “I think” or “I believe”? If this was coming from a source, wouldn’t it be “I know”? Thinking / believing (opinion-based) is much different than knowing (fact-based) but I’m just saying.

@ZBerm Wording matters, especially for reporters & journalists, which aren’t always the same thing. There’s likely purposeful nuance designed for engagement or a signal to other teams, but “I was told the Rams discussed…” does not mean or isn’t clear they discussed it WITH THE EAGLES.

A.J. Brown trade discussions are not dead. Last week, I was told the Rams discussed trading for Eagles WR A.J. Brown before dealing for CB Trent McDuffie. Dialogue slowed, but Los Angeles continues to monitor the status of the three-time Pro Bowler with interest. We’ll see where both parties go from here.
