@KBarkell67959 @wilnerhotline If you mean the MWC is asking for more in exit fees because their revenues increased due to BSUs CFP (& SDSUs NCAAT), then yes. The MWC expects all 5 to pay a higher exit fee. Will they get it ($20M+), hell no. All 5 I believe will end up paying the same $ (minus $ withheld).

The Poinsettia Bowl, which is making its return this fall after being discontinued in 2016, will reportedly pit the PAC-12 conference champion against one of the old PAC-12 teams. The new PAC-12 is comprised of: • Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Oregon State, San Diego State, Texas State, Utah State, and Washington State. The legacy PAC-12 teams include: • Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Colorado, Oregon, Stanford, UCLA, USC, Utah, and Washington. The game will pair the PAC-12 champion, if they aren’t in the College Football Playoff, with one of the eligible PAC-12 legacy teams for a new-PAC vs. old-PAC matchup. Very cool idea for bowl season 🔥 (via Brett McMurphy)

@RudiFL22 @Brett_McMurphy @On3 Have you actually compared how many seniors sit vs play? Didn't think so. 3 bowls canceled, 2 bowls added this year & 1 was added last year to replace the Bahamas bowl. Minus just 1 of 40+, assuming you ignore the addition of the XBox bowl last year. Yes, total collapse! LOL!

@KenLocati @Brett_McMurphy @On3 The seniors that sit out? Or Notre Dame and Iowa State that stayed ? How about the 3 bowl games that were canceled for 2026? Keep up with the times.

Poinsettia Bowl finalizing deal to pit new Pac-12 champ, if it doesn't qualify for playoff, vs. Pac-12 legacy team in 2026, sources told @On3. Pac-12 legacy teams are former Pac-12 members Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Colorado, Oregon, Stanford, UCLA, USC, Utah & Washington

@willmbetts The only way there will be a balance is if the total is > $70M-ish, or what has & will be withheld. Since it definitely won't be $135M then the balance definitely is under $65M. Well under!

@willmbetts It depends what he's referencing? If how much the P12 will pay then its definitely under since they'll only pay poaching, which literally could be $0! If its how much in total will be owed, since the MWC had already withheld a large chunk & would withhold more, then could be $0.

@wilnerhotline And even more to your point, if its $70M and all in exit fees the P12 will owe $0 and its the 5 programs paying the exit fees.

@wilnerhotline That said, i think the likely agreement ends up being what's been & being withheld, bring the final check to $0 (except the real winner - billable hours!). This would actually be a "win" for Gloria to some degree as most exit fees are paid out over time. She'd get all at once.

@Moneyline_RAY @wilnerhotline Going from $155M to $75M isn't a "win" unless you consider getting $6M less per school for exit fees than you asked & having your poaching contract being completely disregarded as "winning"? If so, maybe Charlie Sheen can be the MWC's new spokesman!

@RoyalCoug @CFBKings More LA Bowl, except no MWC. The Vegas Bowl changed affiliations to include B10 or SEC (vs Legacy P12). This one is unique, bringing old v new under the same P12 banner.

@TXBruce2727 @Brett_McMurphy @On3 Then qualify for the CFP. Once the new CPF has been finalized most conference affiliations will change. But who know? Maybe you end up in the Arizona bowl!

@Brett_McMurphy @On3 Speaking as an Arizona fan, we’re tired of the legacy Pac 12 bowl attachments. We wanna go to some of the cool new bowls that we’ve never been to.

@Tc_In_The_541 @Brett_McMurphy @On3 No, the best "bowl" for the P12 in most years is & will remain the CFP. As for #2, playing a P4 in the best city in America. The old MWC, which included 5 of the 8 teams, did the same except in LA. This is an upgrade.

@RudiFL22 @Brett_McMurphy @On3 Tell that to all the players playing in the games, especially the seniors. Or the coaching staffs. Or the athletic staff who get to mingle with their donors in a fun environment. Or the TV partners. You'd be surprised just how relevant they are.

@SeahawksForever @NDSUBisonFBHQ @Brett_McMurphy @On3 Not really. But its implied. Technically no bowl game has a conference contract right now but its implied that last year's affiliations apply. This to-be-named bowl being new isn't fixed in stone which is why they can drop the MWC now that LA is toast. Legacy P12 keeps theirs.

@Namurarf @MattNorlander Wade is just throwing a bunch at the wall & hoping 60-80% stick. He's not going all in on any middle aged pro.

@Namurarf @MattNorlander He's going to lean on the fact he never played in the GLeague or NBA due to injury. The odds are extremely long but all it takes is a couple judges to buy in. I'm sure his RS/NIL is conditional but with nothing to lose....

Just in from @MattNorlander: SDSU will open the Players Era against Iowa State on Nov. 24 and play the winner of Tennessee/Maryland on Nov. 26. The other side of the bracket includes St. John's, Oregon, Louisville and Texas Tech meaning the Aztecs will play one of those four teams in their third game of the tournament on Nov. 27. If they win all three games, they'd play in the championship game on Nov. 28 against the winner of a separate bracket. cbssports.com/college-basket…
