Opus 5 Leaks - Opus 5 is targeting a launch by the end of this month. - A "Honeycomb EAP" model appeared in Cursor for some users before disappearing, and it could be an early Opus 5 preview. - Honeycomb EAP has a 1M context window, making - Opus 5 most likely (Haiku is expected to have 300K context). - Hopefully, Opus 5 reaches Fable/Mythos-level capabilities.

we have fable 5, why isn't everyone rich now?

Anthropic thought they could get away with revoking fable access and putting it behind a API pricing tier. But GPT 5.6 and Grok 4.5 screwed that plan. Many will switch to 5.6 and keep much faster and cheaper Grok for what used to be Opus 4.8 tasks. Capitalism wins.

gpt-5.6-sol is meaningfully better in Claude Code than in Codex I'm going to crash out so badly over this

Fable 5 is a strong model, but i still don't really understand where it fits if the task is simple, i don't really need it but if the task is complex enough to justify using it, i hit the usage limit before it can properly finish even one full task

Anthropic has to keep Fable 5 on the 200 plan.
