This kind of reasoning shows a complete lack of understanding of how districts work. You do not expect that a 40% Republican state will have 40% Republican districts.
If the 40% of Republicans are spread evenly throughout the state you will always get 0 Republican districts even without Gerrymandering.
Districts do not produce the same results as proportional representation and we shouldn't expect them to.

One of the parts of their mission statement is “Equity: A rising tide lifts us all.” Whether you like it or not, they’re just following it.

Terrible people love bringing this up as if they are paying for it. A private nonprofit decides to give free tickets to poor people, students, etc and this makes you angry why exactly? It hurts you how?

One of my clients actually had a purpose restriction tied to gas exp in a specific region.

Your grant also probably had restrictions that simply weren’t relevant to your understanding given that it followed the restriction on only peds research.
