Should we eliminate property taxes for seniors? I started a fire this morning when I said seniors are using the services property taxes pay for the most. It’s clear most people have never looked at their property tax bill before, so I break down what I pay. What most people don’t realize is that these taxes are often approved by your local community. Many people came after me saying seniors don’t use schools. If you primarily pay for schools, that’s probably because your community voted in favor of that or voted for the representatives who approved it. (Also, remind me who the largest voting block is again?) So if you don’t like what you pay for, get involved locally like I did. That’s how I started my entire political journey. But sticking the bill with only select people is not an acceptable answer.

@MattWalshBlog If you’re a shitty parent then parenting gets harder over time because the damage you’ve done to your kids starts to add up and reflect in their behavior. If you’re a good parent, parenting gets easier over time.

I have kids ranging from toddlers to teenagers and I still think the newborn phase (especially for a first time parent) is the hardest by far. I remember being a younger parent and hearing older parents constantly whine about how much harder it gets. Turns out they were exaggerating for attention and pity. Parenting gets A LOT easier over time. Your kids get more mature and so do you. That’s how it should work if you’re doing it right anyway.
