@ImFromCle @BrandonLittleBL lol that’s weather propaganda. Look how the pic makes it look like the deep red is burning hot when it’s only on the 70s 🤣

This might be one of the wildest weather splits we’ll see all year. At the same time parts of Ohio climb into the 70s and even mid-80s, Cleveland will still be sitting in the upper 30s due to cold air blowing in off Lake Erie. That sharp contrast is coming from a cold front combined with wind off the lake, creating a narrow band of much colder air across Northeast Ohio while the rest of the state warms up. Same state. Completely different day.

@CNviolations Do I understand correctly what I am seeing? We've had numerous churches shot up and she's questioning why a man is filming license plates in a church parking lot and that makes her the crazy one here?

This is every census block with zero (0) residents. Huge stretches of the US where not one person lives. The Western US, in particular, is so urbanized and so vast that it's not wholly wrong to think of it as a bunch of disparate city-states connected by thin strips of asphalt.

@blockkboyy615 @StatisticUrban No it’s because of water. Cities in the west only survive because we bring the water to them. You can’t really go off the grid to the middle of the desert without developing some sort of water source. Much easier in the east with all of the rivers & creeks.

@StatisticUrban You don’t think this has anything to do with how much land the federal government owns out west, like if that’s something that prevents development?

@rafagadeviento9 New York was a landing city. A lot of people never went further than that. The United States has a LOT of land for everyone else who was willing to move.

It genuinely breaks my brain to imagine what 1400 hours of annual sunshine must be like to live in. When going to college in Chicago, I really struggled with the seemingly endless gray of the winters. Chicago gets 2500 sunshine hours!

This is John Eisenman. He lost his daughter to sexual trafficking. She was sold for $1,000 in Seattle Washington. He did what a father should do and researched, investigated and found out about her abduction. He RESCUED her HIMSELF. He found out the person who sold her into trafficking was her 19 year old boyfriend. He met up with him, abducted him, bludgeoned and stabbed him to death in Nov, 2020

I am not entirely against solar power. It can be useful, but it only makes sense to install it on roofs in sunnier climates or to shade parking lots. There is absolutely zero reason to knock down tens of thousands of acres of trees to put up a solar farm that would produce only a fraction of the energy that an existing natural gas or new nuclear power plant could occupying only a few hundred acres.

Absurd heat! Despite our best efforts, the monster heat dome is bound to be "undersold" by the meteorology community. Why? Because intensity like this is almost never seen. This thing has the potential to be Epic for Mid-March, and not in a good way. The magenta is where this ridge is forecast (Euro) to be the most intense on record for the day. It's not the size of a city or a state, is literally the majority of the American West. The March record for Palm Springs is 104. For Phoenix it is 100. The National Blend of models has numbers between 105-110 late next week for these two locations. If that happens, we break March surface temp records by absurd margins. And... 1/

@KiddJthe @MaXFalstein @redpillb0t I realize this might come off wrong. I'm fine with putting solar panels in dead desert, but it's hardly so simple to make a desert green. This would take many years and more money than it's really worth for, what? Rabbits?

A single hail storm in Damon, Texas, destroys thousands of acres of solar panels. Is it really wise to make ourselves dependent on expensive energy infrastructure that can be rendered permanently useless by a bout of bad weather?

@ArmouredJester @MaXFalstein @redpillb0t No, it’s geo engineering. They’ve done it in the Middle East. To create entire ecosystems. The panels provide shade, the new underlying foliage locks in sand & soil which can then be developed agriculturally. Look it up.
