“Why should homeowners have to be sneaky about producing food on their own property?” This is a profound statement, and it really hit me. How absolutely absurd is it that many, many humans are not allowed to produce their own food. While gardening is often permitted, animals are heavily restricted and regulated. The argument that they are dirty is not solid. I have never had mites or infections in my flock or herd. They are clean and healthy. It is all about how you raise them. Our place is not smelly, even our manure piles, because our carbon ratio, from bedding, is right. On the flip side, anyone can use that awful laundry product that makes the whole neighbourhood stink. @ExtropiAna makes another excellent point here. Most people have NO idea how their food is produced, and really would probably feel better about backyard flocks if they ever caught a glimpse of factory farming.

You want to be in farming? You want to be part of processing? You need a door opened for you? Let’s talk! I want to see the work continue! I WANT the next generation to be able to be part of feeding our people! @wilson_dunham_f @beefinitiative @yngfarmpreneur @angrycowboy1
