Tesla Trends - Get a Tesla soon so you, too, can stop sweating the gas prices. When not on long road trips, my daily driving costs me about 2.5 cents per mile (that's $2.50 for every 100 miles). I never have to go to a gas station—I simply plug my car into the charger installed in my garage. 
 On long road trips, when I have to charge with Superchargers, I typically pay 3x to 4x the price I pay for energy at home. But even at 4x the price, it's still a better deal than gasoline. So instead of $2.50 per 100 miles, it costs me up to $10 per 100 miles. 
 Add to that no oil changes, no belt changes, no transmission fluid changes, and none of those now-obsolete parts. There's no required maintenance to keep my car's warranty valid, and not only do I get all that money back—I also save a ton of time to spend however I want. 
 Teslas are the most made-in-America vehicles. What could be better for you and your fellow citizens? When you spend money on a truly made-in-America item, that money is like a boomerang—it comes right back to you. 
 Pull the trigger—you won't regret it, and you'll actually be helping yourself and your country.

Daily Old Man Wisdom - Challenging a Team with Over Optimistic Goals & Timelines is Often Required (a la Elon Musk) Elon Musk's quest of seemingly impossible endeavors, and leadership style of driving teams hard with aggressive timelines and goals, has many observers questioning him. Often people ask if he is crazy, mean, a fraud or a genius. My take is he’s a highly capable and driven genius - and of course a little crazy or he would not be the mover and shaker he is. It’s been my experience that you never hit hard goals without pushing a super capable team with overly aggressive timelines and goals. I know not everyone agrees. Some assert this approach is demotivating to people who work directly with him and other stakeholders. Which I would admit to, but would reply maybe that’s ok. I’m of the opinion you need tough thick-skinned people who are fighters to do big new things and this approach helps weed out weak-links. I know I sound heartless- but I’ve been in that driver’s seat before and that’s what I base my beliefs on - my firsthand experience the past 40 years. It’s been said “We are born crying, live complaining, and die disappointed.” I recommend you not be that person, instead die a satisfied doer and a fighter and do what you can to make the world a better place.
