@CengageLearning @CengageHelp Cengage has been inferior in every way - wrong answers, practice exercises disappearing, AI texts w/clunky, obtuse writing. & now difficulty returning books I rented. If @frccedu is trying to improve their program, Cengage isn't the way to do it.

Unbelievably. Imagine the rage and horror of Ukrainians every day as Russia attacks their people and their nation while the wealthy free world that surrounds them, that they desperately want to be a part of, that could stop it, refuses to act.

Nixon's worst day in office was 100x better than Trump's best day. The relevant comparisons are to non-American presidents in authoritarian societies with unfree media. Trump's scale of stealing and bribe-taking has never been remotely paralleled in any democratic country ever before.

🚨ICE agents are threatening to assault and illegally arrest U.S. citizens in Portland, Maine. In the video, a man is legally observing ICE activity in his own neighborhood. Agents walk up to his car window and ask, “Are you following us?” The man replies, “Yeah.” An agent immediately escalates and says, “What you are doing is called impeding federal law enforcement. It’s an 18 U.S.C. §111 charge. This is your first and only warning. If you continue to impede and follow us, you will be arrested.” The man then correctly responds, “Yeah, but I’m not impeding you.” Another agent jumps in and says,“You just openly admitted you were following us, so…” And again, the man correctly explains, “I am following you. I’m not impeding you. I’m observing you.” Which is a constitutionally protected right. The agent responds anyway, “It is impeding.” The man replies, “No, it’s actually not.” At that point, the agents become visibly angry that he knows the law and threaten him again, saying, “This is your one warning. If you keep doing it, we will pull you back out and arrest you.” Just to be very clear… Following and observing law enforcement, without interference, is not a crime. Threatening arrest anyway is an abuse of power. Threatening to “pull him out” of his vehicle is a threat of unlawful force. These agents are not enforcing the law, they’re misstating it, weaponizing it, and hoping intimidation will do the rest. They don’t understand the laws they claim to enforce. They just parrot a few buzzwords and statute numbers, and expect the public to fold. And when that doesn’t work, they threaten violence. Because the biggest threat to an ICE agent is someone who knows their rights.

Demand accountability for federal agents who break the law 3. End racial targeting and require judicial warrants to enter homes 4. Raise hiring and training standards for immigration officials 5. Uphold constitutional rights to legal counsel and due process 6. Restore congressional access to detention facilities I will fight to defend the Constitution, the rule of law, and the dignity of human life.

Tomorrow, Republicans are bringing to the floor an appropriations package that includes funding for DHS and ICE. I'm voting NO. Kristi Noem’s ICE is spreading violence with zero accountability. Across Colorado and the nation, masked agents are detaining children and separating families. We cannot fund this cruelty.

There is no version of Christianity that rejoices in death and glorifies violence, even the death of an enemy whom Christ has called us to love. They love Trump more than Jesus. Rebuke it. Rebuke any version of “Christianity” that celebrates killing and wealth. Rebuke it in the name of Jesus - the Prince of Peace who blesses the poor and the peacemakers… not the millionaires and the warmongers.

Can someone explain why federal agents are now allowed to arrest unarmed, innocent American citizens while depriving them of their Constitutional rights? "The boy, who is Hispanic and African American, was held in a garage for five hours 'without informing his family, stating any charges, or allowing him to call an attorney,' the statement said. He is a U.S. citizen, as is his entire immediate family, the release said."
