I frequently hear arguments against physically disabled characters in TTRPGs, but none of them hold up for me. (I'm also naturally going to disregard opinions with a clear anti-inclusivity agenda; they don't add anything to the discussion.) (1/6)

Trump never has money for healthcare or VA staff or anything to actually make Americans’ lives better — but somehow found $1.8 billion to reward his allies with your tax dollars. That's corruption, plain and simple.

The president cancelling tv shows he doesn’t like & memeing about it on social media is a dystopian nightmare. 10 years, the very thought of this occurring would have been uncontroversially anti-american. MAGA has destroyed our country.

Bruce Springsteen appeared on Stephen Colbert’s show tonight and COOKED Trump and his goons “I’m here in support tonight for Stephen, because you are the first guy in America who lost his show because we got a president who can't take a joke…. and because Larry and David Ellison feel they need to kiss his ass to get what they want. Stephen, these are small minded people. They got no idea what the freedoms of this beautiful country are supposed to be about”

There's an obvious reason why the Republican Supreme Court Justices sound so nervous. During their confirmation hearings, these justices sat under oath and promised that Roe v. Wade was settled law. They lied. They told us they were independent. Then they quietly accepted luxury mega-yacht vacations from right-wing billionaires, flew insurrectionist flags outside their homes, and used shadow dockets to dismantle decades of worker and environmental protections. Now, trying to persuade the public that a Republican-controlled Court issuing Republican-friendly decisions is not a Republican body has never been more difficult. Now that their public approval has cratered, they are showing up to fancy think tanks to complain that Americans are being unfair to them. They are desperately demanding to be treated like impartial umpires who simply call balls and strikes. But, ultimately, you do not get to strip away the bodily autonomy of millions of women, pocket millions in undisclosed gifts from conservative mega-donors, and then cry about a lack of respect.

Virginia is "a wakeup call to Democrats across the country - in NJ, NY, MD, IL, OR, WA, CO - this is the time to start fighting back... Republicans don't believe that Democrats have the right to exist as a party. If we don't start fighting back as a party, we're going to good government ourselves into obscurity." h/t @Elex_Michaelson @CNNTheStoryIs

Mockler on Cost of Iran War: So in New York, they did free school lunches for $300 million a year, put that against the $50 billion, which is a conservative estimate for this war. We could have funded this across the country. How about in Connecticut? They have paid family leave. It was $450 million a year. And it is $5 million to start up. Put that against the $50 billion. It is a no brainer. What about one more in New Mexico. It costs $1.5 billion for free college. We could do that 20 times over with the $50 billion that we've spent.

Today’s Supreme Court decision effectively guts a key pillar of the Voting Rights Act, freeing state legislatures to gerrymander legislative districts to systematically dilute and weaken the voting power of racial minorities - so long as they do it under the guise of “partisanship” rather than explicit “racial bias.” And it serves as just one more example of how a majority of the current Court seems intent on abandoning its vital role in ensuring equal participation in our democracy and protecting the rights of minority groups against majority overreach. The good news is that such setbacks can be overcome. But that will only happen if citizens across the country who cherish our democratic ideals continue to mobilize and vote in record numbers - not just in the upcoming midterms or in high profile races, but in every election and every level.

AOC says we shouldn’t be using taxpayer money to build Trump’s ornate castle/ballroom while people are struggling to pay for healthcare and rent. Raju: Would you support authorizing the new ballroom? AOC: No. The president demolished the East Wing of the White House, a historic jewel of the American people, and he started to build this ballroom long before any incident. He also promised the American people that this was going to be built with private dollars, so the idea that they are trying to change the rationale for this doesn’t add up. The White House long had facilities for hosting, which also included the East Wing of the White House prior to them bulldozing the crown jewel of the American people. I don’t believe, in an era when they are jacking up costs, when they’re gutting everyone’s healthcare, and when people cannot afford their rent and their mortgages, that we should be using our treasure to build an ornate castle on a scale that is unprecedented and unbelievable. I’m sure that anybody who is against waste, fraud, and abuse would agree with me on that.

the CATO Institute.. a libertarian think tank funded by the Koch brothers.. just published a study showing immigrants paid more in taxes than they received in benefits every single year from 1994 to 2023.. not a left-wing university.. not a Democratic PAC.. the Koch brothers' own research institute.. they reduced the deficit by $14.5 trillion over 30 years.. they earn less per hour but work at higher rates.. which means higher per capita income.. which means higher taxes paid.. the country spent 30 years being told immigrants were draining the system.. turns out they were funding it.. and the people who told you that knew the numbers the whole time
Leading Report@LeadingReport

Immigrants generate more income and taxes than the average person, per CATO Institute.

Obama: 11, including a guy who fired 25 rifle rounds at the White House. Biden: 5, including one arrested 4 miles from his house with an AR-15 and a checklist ending "execute." Harris: 2 federal prosecutions. Clinton: a pipe bomb intercepted at her home and a militia.

How many times did Barack Hussein have an assassination attempt? How many times did Joe Biden have an assassination attempt? How many times did Kamala Harris have an assassination attempt? How many times did Hillary Clinton have an assassination attempt? The answer is 0, the Democrats are the party of violence in America.

First of all, I conducted this interview. The clip Laura Loomer is circulating with her watermark on it is from my podcast. She removed the context. She distorted what was said. She tagged the FBI Director. Here is what actually happened in that conversation. Abdul El-Sayed and I were discussing immigration politics. We were talking specifically about JD Vance, who built his political career arguing that immigrants and the children of immigrants are less American than other Americans. Vance married Usha Chilukuri, the daughter of Indian immigrants. Their three children are Indian-American. The point Abdul made, in full context, was that the politics JD Vance sells does not include his own family. The argument used Vance's own children as the example that his politics cannot answer. That is not an attack on his children. That is a political critique of a politician, using the Socratic move of pointing out a contradiction in his own life. You can disagree with that critique. You can call it pointed. You can call it uncomfortable. You cannot honestly call it an attack on his kids. .@LauraLoomer

WATCH: Muslim Democrat candidate for US Senate @AbdulElSayed Abdul El-Sayed went on a podcast this week where he made derogatory sexual comments about @SLOTUS Usha Vance and Vice President @JDVance. He suggested that Usha Vance doesn’t want to have sex with her husband… but then quickly realized how dumb he sounded because Usha Vance is currently PREGNANT. It can’t be ignored that Abdul is a Muslim, and he is attacking Usha, who is Indian. Muslims are constantly attacking Indians, and they even work to sexually conquer Indian woman through Love Jihad. Abdul should refrain from making sexual comments about women aside from his wife, who he forces to wear a hijab as a Sharia adherent Muslim.. Abdul then proceeded to attack JD Vance’s kids for being brown and having a white father. Abdul said, “@JDVance has brown kids who he thinks are less American than everyone else. That's wild to look at your own kids and be like, “You don't actually belong as much in this country that I brought you into.'" As I exclusively reported, Abdul El-Sayed has pledged support in writing for Mohamed Morsi and the Egyptian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, which has been designated as an Islamic terrorist organization by the Trump administration. See receipts below 👇🏻 Vice President Vance has the opportunity to do the funniest thing right now… @VP Cc: @SecRubio @SecScottBessent @FBIDirectorKash

Trump’s own words last week: “We can’t take care of day care, Medicaid, Medicare, all these individual things.” This week, he says he’s ready to bail out the United Arab Emirates. The man who ran on America First is telling American families they’re on their own while offering a financial lifeline to a wealthy Gulf state whose sovereign wealth fund has poured billions into his family’s businesses. Can’t afford day care. Can’t afford healthcare. Can’t afford to help families keep the heat on. Can afford a bailout for the UAE. Tell me again who America First was supposed to be for. nytimes.com/2026/04/22/us/…

Mockler: I don't think we are obligated to show this administration any respect when they have treated media with maximum malice. Since Donald Trump entered the U.S. Political scene, every single time he interacts with some journalists in the oval office, it is an incredibly combative interaction. The Pentagon is actively removing career journalists and replacing them with Maga influencers.  I don't think that we should treat this like it's normal. This is not a normal White House Correspondents Dinner. It should not be treated as such.
