I don't know why this happened or how long it's gonna stay this way, but I've seemingly lost access to Google's AI on all devices. The summaries stopped showing up, and the AI Mode tab is completely gone. And it's so nice! The search feels so clean again!

@JVeg199X @LonelyGoomba Kirby's Epic Yarn had a similar system, and people hated that too.

@LonelyGoomba Wario can’t die from enemies, but he does lose coins which don’t respawn, which acts as a light scoring system. So there are still some stakes, and player is still encouraged to master the mechanics. Pretty sure Yoshi doesn’t have any of that.

If Wario Land 2 came out today there would be SO much controversy that Wario can't die in that game.

a wip of my delfino plaza in tomodachi still have to make some more buildings so there's some placeholder stuff atm it's annoying that a few things are off-centre, but the fountain is an even number of tiles

@LonelyGoomba I can't say I've ever looked at a game and thought the visuals were different for the sake of "buzz". Wind Waker, Monkey Island 3, and this game too. Call me naive, but I genuinely think these art style shifts happen just because the developers think it's cool.

@KoenVanBeeck It's not manufactured outrage. But the visuals are a cheap way to make the game stand out. It's not intended to get people angry but obviously a drastic change in visuals is to gain interest and buzz no?

@KoenVanBeeck @LonelyGoomba People still hate the edgy bomber man design, still hate the realistic eggman design, still hate the uncanny pacman design. This will be hated overall and stay that way.

@CaXaP777 Yeah, I've noticed msbt seems to be the modern standard for Nintendo games. Thankfully, because it's easier to work with than what's going on in some of these older games. Do you also use Kuriimu for msbt files, or is there a better tool out there?

I'm looking around for potential Dialogue Tree subjects, and I think Paper Mario spoiled me. The devs made the dialogue very accessible, and the fans made wonderful tools that helped me find that dialogue in-game. Most other games don't seem to have either.

Players of Paper Mario are made to believe that Kooper has a bandage as part of his character design, featuring heavily in fan depictions. As it turns out, the bandage was never supposed to be permanent and this is a case of artwork being removed from its intended context.
