@s2_underground I have to imagine Derek Chauvin is looking at these comments from another inmates phone that was smuggled in, just shaking his head.

A lot of posts online are some variation of “Look how terrible this person used to be! They pretend to be good but were once awful!” We need to get to a point where redemption is possible.

@802Suspended @sevendaysvt Argueing over grammar, while understandable that words have meaning, misses the entire point of the communist-driven agenda the article is pushing. They want to further dismantle law enforcement as an institution in VT, not have squabbles over high school English lessons.

@sevendaysvt "who identifies as transgender and uses they/them pronouns" You lost me when you wrote "uses they/them pronouns". No one is a they/them. That's improper English. Anyone professing 'pronouns' is retarded, they're not being real, honest or genuine and will not be taken seriously.

The provocative lawn signs began popping up this spring: “STOP EVICTING CHILDREN.” They carried the message of a new candidate for Chittenden County sheriff, who, if elected, would be responsible for enforcing court-ordered evictions of renters, including families. But Kevin Bloom, a 32-year-old Burlington audio producer who identifies as transgender and uses they/them pronouns, has a different vision for the office. They believe sheriffs — who, unlike police officers, aren’t required to hold law enforcement certifications — have untapped potential as agents for social change. That’s especially true when it comes to evictions, which Bloom argues are inextricably linked to public safety. Sheriff Dan Gamelin, the incumbent, isn’t convinced. He describes evicting people as difficult but legally mandated work that, if mishandled, can exacerbate problems. And he says the office has become more robust and financially stable under his leadership. Handing the reins over to someone without any law enforcement or civil service experience would be a mistake, he said. The race for the Democratic nomination comes at a time when Vermont sheriffs are under increased scrutiny amid several high-profile scandals. And with no Republicans in the running, the winner of Chittenden County’s August 11 primary will likely prevail come November. The candidates are a study in contrasts. sevendaysvt.com/election-2026/…

Actions have consequences. It turns out that when we slash research funding and fire public health experts, we see entirely avoidable disease outbreaks.

@8USC12 @MHowellTweets @ItsYourGov I've been told those returns aren't held against them in the same manner a former removal would be. So a person could rack up dozens of those pretty easily with no consequence

@Kreb02 @MHowellTweets @ItsYourGov Yes. It was counting voluntary returns at the SW Border as “deportations” even though the alien wasn’t processed under Expedited Removal, thus wasn’t actually deported.

Love my peeps at Daily Wire but we're not close to that number of deportations. The intentional category confusion and profusion certainly makes this difficult. Publishing the secret data obtained would be helpful, but @ItsYourGov will get it in litigation.
Jennie Taer@JennieSTaer

EXCLUSIVE: The Trump admin has now deported over 1,000,000 illegal immigrants from the United States, but roughly a third of those were recent border-crossers who were turned back home, according to new data obtained by @realDailyWire. The total removals touted by the Trump administration don’t just include deportations carried out by ICE, but also account for migrants turned away at the border by CBP. Since Trump’s return to the White House, ICE has deported roughly 706,000 of the one million total, while CBP has removed around 323,000 others. dailywire.com/news/exclusive…

@8USC12 @MHowellTweets @ItsYourGov I'm reminded of the numbers that Obama had that turned out to be fake. Something about removals that weren't legally "removals", but called that way to fluff the numbers.

@MHowellTweets @ItsYourGov There is a certain irony in the so-called ‘most transparent administration’ in U.S. history engaging in the same enforcement shenanigans as the Obama Administration—it to seem tough on enforcement, and this one to hide how it’s weak af! latimes.com/nation/la-na-o…

Another big win out of the 5th Circuit. DHS’s change in legal position on illegal alien detention restored the policy set by Congress and rejected a misreading of the law that perpetuated open borders for decades. It’s not too late to take a $2,600 check and a free flight home. DHS.GOV/CBPHOME

@spine1692 @NYCMayor And what role did his administration have in "ensuring that every New Yorker is safe in their city"? Pretty sure it was Federal law enforcement that handled that event.

What occurred outside 26 Federal Plaza this morning was deeply disturbing. I’m relieved no one was seriously injured and that a suspect is in custody. My team is in touch with the NYPD and we will support the federal investigation. Our administration will continue to ensure that every New Yorker is safe in their city — and hold accountable any who threaten that.

Surprise, surprise – more than 12 defense tech companies have received $3.2 billion in federal contracts after Trump’s sons have invested in them.   It’s almost as if they know a guy.   We can’t let this kind of corruption be normalized.
