Optimus is already getting some practice in before the Tesla Diner anniversary. A video shows the robot serving popcorn at the Hollywood location ahead of the July 21 celebrations. With Cybercab and Optimus both expected to be featured during the event, it looks like Tesla is turning the diner into a live showcase for its robotics and autonomy efforts. The timing suggests the company wants to give people a tangible preview of what Optimus can do in real-world settings.

the ac in plaid sucks. the older models had two separate systems. front and rear. they also removed the vents on the B pilar in the plaid. also smaller vents in the front etc. so you get a louder AC and it doesn't work as well:/ (use less electricity. that's nice. bc the battery in the plaid is smaller than the older cars)

Having been an auto and truck technician for many years, as well as an aircraft electronics tech in the USAF, I can tell you the official explanation was always total BS. In gas cars and trucks, the in tank electric fuel pump and wiring are not insulated from the fuel. Fuel actually cools the open armature electric motor. Gasoline is more volatile than jet fuel. If that were a real problem, every gasoline tank would explode on start up.

@TomFitton @JudicialWatch Boeing and the FAA/NTSB documented the 350 volt wire chaffing in the center tank in planes of the same vintage. There was an AD for refitting. IIRC, they knew it was an issue before TWA 800 went down.

At the @NASAAmes booth at Open Sauce they had sections of the Orion heat shield from Artemis 1 and 2 side by side for comparison. So you can see the spallation effects up close.
