Here's some poll information that provides perspective: Gallup had Reagan's approval dropping to 35% in January 1983, with 56% disapproving.  Less than 1-year later, Reagan won 525 electoral votes (the most in US history) and 58.8% of the popular vote, carrying 49 states. I am not making predictions, which I rarely do.  Just saying, always fight like you're behind, because you may well be.  But don't govern based on the polls, especially this far away from an election, when they are fleeting.  Do the right thing and fight like hell.  President Trump clearly knows this.

In my humble opinion, top leaders for American health agencies should: - have actual patient care experience, not just letters behind a name -clear history of service to the country (military, govt, etc) -proven commitment to calm, steady, clinically rooted messaging

TACO OR NACHO? WHY TRUMP'S NEXT MOVE IS CRUCIAL FOR OIL AND EQUITIES Oil prices have fallen today, and stock markets are up nicely across Europe. Markets are buoyed by hopes that Trump will announce an end to the fighting. Investors are very much counting on Trump's famous TACO - that he "chickens out" and thinks better of his mistakes. But what if he does the opposite? It is abundantly clear that American ground troops are heading to the Gulf. What if that is precisely what Trump intends to announce tonight? What if, instead of TACO, we are looking at NACHO - "Never Actually Chickens, He Only doubles"? Trump's version of "when in trouble, double". And what if that goes wrong too - are we then facing an ever more reckless escalation of the war? In that scenario, oil prices should certainly not be falling and equities should certainly not be rising. I do not know what Trump will announce tonight (European time), but I must say that I fear this time it is going to be NACHO rather than TACO.

NATO’s collective defense clause covers North America and Europe. Iran is in the Middle East. Trump started a war outside NATO’s mandate, without consulting NATO, and is now furious that NATO won’t show up. This is like crashing your car on a road your insurance doesn’t cover and screaming at the insurance company.

OK, this is nuts. In Sept 2023, geophysicists over the world started monitoring an odd signal coming from the ground under them. It was recorded in the Arctic, then Antarctica - then everywhere, every 90 seconds, regular as a metronome - for NINE DAYS. What the HELL? 1/

Call me crazy, but an extra dollar per gallon for a few weeks seems like a small price to pay for removing a government hellbent on our nuclear destruction.
