The most compelling argument is he said he was going to shoot a black person, leave them on the pavement, live stream it, make a bunch of money on a fundraiser, and get off on a self defense claim. A big part of the problem is so many Whites get antagonized over one word. It’s like a spell is cast over them where they’d have an emotional response to even consider saying the word alone in private. Something that happens to me literally every time I'm talking politics with a liberal: I'll mention that the gun control is a total dealbreaker on voting blue for a lot of people. They respond with "nobody wants to take your guns, that's just republican fearmongering." I point out that no, literally every democrat candidate wants an assault weapons ban. That's not some republican lie, it's literally right there on their own issues pages. Rather than acknowledging that they were incorrect and continuing the conversation from there, they just immediately pivot to "omg nobody needs an assault weapon!" It's literally like a script, I've had the exact same conversation like 1000 times.
