ADAMS CELEBRATES GOVERNOR'S APPROVAL OF MEASURE ESTABLISHING AN AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER TRUST FUND FRANKFORT, Ky. (April 3, 2026) — Sen. Julie Raque Adams, R-Louisville, issued the following statement after Governor Andy Beshear signed Senate Bill (SB) 69 into law on Good Friday. The measure creates an Autism Spectrum Disorder Trust Fund to support evidence-based research, services and workforce development benefiting Kentuckians across the autism spectrum. “Today marks an important step forward for Kentucky families and individuals affected by autism spectrum disorder. With autism now affecting one in 31 children, the need for stronger, more coordinated support has never been greater. “Senate Bill 69 is about responding to that need and facilitating investment in better understanding, expanding support and helping ensure individuals on the autism spectrum have the opportunity to thrive at every stage of life. “I’m grateful to the families, advocates and professionals who helped bring attention to this issue. Their voices matter, and I look forward to the benefit this new trust fund will have across the commonwealth.” ___ The trust fund is established within the state treasurer’s office. The trust fund may receive appropriations, grants, and other public or private contributions. Funds are protected from lapsing, ensuring long-term investment and continuity of support. Resources will be distributed through a competitive grant process, guided by a comprehensive statewide needs assessment to prioritize areas of greatest impact. SB 69 also creates a governing council, administratively attached to the Office of Autism within the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, to oversee the distribution and use of funds. The council is required to develop a written plan for fund allocation by Oct. 1 each year and to update it annually. The bill includes an emergency clause, allowing it to take effect immediately upon filing with the Kentucky Secretary of State’s Office. ###

We cannot allow antisemitism and gun violence to become normal in this country. The shooting in Old Dominion and attack in West Bloomfield today are sickening. My heart is with today's victims and the Michiganders, Virginians, and Jewish communities across the country who must live with reality of violent threats. It's time for our national leaders to stop stoking the flames of hate and start working to prevent it.

Horrific act of violence at the Temple Israel Synagogue in Michigan. Praying for everyone at the Synagogue. Antisemitism is disgusting and I will always stand with the Jewish people against targeted attacks on their community.

If only Trump liked KY’s GOP Senate candidates as much as he hates Massie | Opinion kentucky.com/opinion/linda-…

Infighting over Israel consumed a Republican conference on antisemitism in D.C. Tuesday. bit.ly/4sDz89R

Board of Trustees did not approve the Mitch Barnhart contract. President Eli Capiluto approved it solely

At the end of this speech, you can hear him vomit in his mouth a little bit. Weird flex.
