So I’ve been trying to process how all this came to be this morning, and I think I’ve settled on a pretty solid theory. The conservative movement is fractured right now. Everybody knows that. Candace Owens took a lot of the “woke right” audience with her when she departed in 2024. Not only that, after Trump was sworn in again, they lost a ton of the casual election audience, and ad revenue has been down ever since. But it’s more than just that... The Daily Wire has been hemorrhaging cash for a while now, mostly due to the failed entertainment ambitions of Jeremy Boreing. The theatrical release of Am I Racist, in particular, was a huge gamble that did not pay off. Combine that with the low performance of DW as a conservative streaming service, and it required them to restructure. Boreing was released last year so that this could be accomplished. So what do they do? Well, they can’t be the entertainment juggernaut they so desperately wanted to be anymore, so they decided, “Hey, we need to keep a hold of the audience we already have.” Who is their primary audience? A big chunk of it is conservative Catholics and evangelicals. So they have decided to throw their lot in with theological discussion in an effort to keep these guys around. Enter Matt Fradd. Latter-day Saints, while staunchly conservative and strong political allies, are not nearly as big as the audience they are now catering to. And anti-Mormon sentiment is, and always has been, strong in these communities. Since Matt Fradd was brought on in February, he has gone on at least three anti-Mormon tirades, this most recent one actually under the Daily Wire masthead. But what’s more is that this shift toward a more directly anti-Mormon posture manifested itself as early as September 2025, when news director Cabot Phillips responded to LDS X influencer @sister_slay, completely unprompted, attacking Joseph Smith and LDS beliefs. This behavior was, while soundly ratioed by LDS X users, not condemned or addressed publicly by anyone at the Daily Wire. So it is clear what the Daily Wire is now. It is not the same DW that it was when Donald Trump was re-inaugurated. It has changed to cater to a hyper-creedalist theology in an attempt to keep the doors open. This is who the Daily Wire is now. And it is clear their LDS audience has been sacrificed. So, my fellow Latter-day Saints, I say it is time we follow the advice of @JeremyDBoreing, and that is to not give money to people who hate you.

What is going on at the @dailywireplus ? I supported this organization for literally years, and now they are pushing me away. Why are they doing this? @benshapiro

Messrs. @benshapiro, @michaeljknowles, @brentscher, and @bdomenech: Why are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints not welcome in The Daily Wire's conservative movement? Members of the LDS Church have been for more than a century and remain today predominantly conservative in their political orientation. They believe in the value of self-reliance, the participation of voluntary charity, and giving back to their families and communities, all while being active in their faith and worshipping their savior, Jesus Christ. They regularly are rated at or near the top in terms of practicing the religious tolerance they seek in others. They would, in other words, seem to be an ideal group for you to court as part of your audience. For over a year now, however, The Daily Wire has been willing to give voice to anti-LDS sentiment in its pages and on its programs in a way that I have not seen you do with other faiths. This has accelerated recently with the addition of Matt Fradd to your content roster, as multiple episodes of his show have worked to tear down the LDS Church and he has written an article you published titled "7 Reasons Joseph Smith Was A False Prophet." You have the right to hire and platform anyone you see fit. I am not arguing that, nor am I arguing for Fradd's dismissal from your organization. But what is the reasoning for not only turning your back on but actively insulting and attacking an important segment of your audience? As one of the foremost online publications catering to contemporary conservative thought, news, and action, The Daily Wire is a critical weapon in the fight against the left, and one that conservatives of all stripes have long been glad to have in their corner. Telling LDS Church members that they are not welcome in the fight that you are leading is not just a slap in the face to a group who has, to the best of my knowledge, done nothing to you to deserve it, but also a bewildering business decision on the part of a media group that would ostensibly benefit from bringing multiple conservative groups together rather than dividing them. I would like to encourage you to reconsider your stance actively turning aside LDS Church members who believe in the same things you claim to believe in and instead welcome them into your movement with the respect they, and those of all religious affiliations, deserve. You may not believe what they believe, but they believe what you believe--or at least what you have heretofore claimed to. You have the power to make the conservative tent bigger, not smaller. If you continue to refuse to exercise it, I would like to request that you at least do members of the LDS Church--and, in fact all conservatives--the courtesy of explaining to them why you want anyone and everyone else in your political movement and sampling your political content other than them. Many of them have joined me in canceling our subscriptions, and the numbers will likely only increase if you persist in this bizarre crusade against LDS Church members. I don't want that; none of them do. But your actions have all but required it if they are to maintain their dignity and commitment to their faith. I will repost this message once per day on X until I receive a response from one of you as to why you are actively excluding and defaming members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints instead of welcoming them to be a part of what you are creating.

It's wild that Matt Fradd was in the room for Jacob Hansen's Boom of Mormon debate and still says "there is zero archeological evidence for the Book of Mormon" in this article. FYI @RealMattFradd: "Evidence I don't accept" ≠ "No evidence"

So excited! The committee in charge of our Stake Young Women’s camp is planning an evening “faith walk” activity. During the walk the girls will reverently go through a trail and stop to reflect and listen to music at several points. The stake has asked me if I could provide much of the music for the walk. I’ll be rearranging some primary songs and also producing original music. I already have 3 bangers. I’m excited to complete the rest!

The Daily Wire peaked five years ago. For like two years, I listened to Matt Walsh every day. Ben Shapiro 3-4 times a week. Andrew Klavan on the weekends. Michael knowles when the others were on vacation. I used to set aside time to watch the backstage events. They promised harder hitting journalism and investigations… not just breaking down NYPost stories ‘journalism.’ Instead they started making movies, cartoons, selling cigars, razors, and chocolate. Once they switched from news and mainstreaming conservative views to “Hey, buy stuff from us,” I knew it was over. I stopped listening, but kept my subscription alive out of loyalty or whatever— kinda always hoping they’d course correct. Their producers hating on Mormons is just the icing on the cake for me. The Daily Wire played an integral role in a weird time for me as I developed my political views. So I’m honestly sad this is where they are now, but it’s not surprising.

During the latest @realDailyWire staff meeting DW: “Dang, we just had to lay off half our employees due to falling view and subscriber counts, what should we do?” @RealMattFradd : “How about I take another giant Australian crap all over the Christ centered faith of the most family oriented pro social conservative group in America” DW: “I LOVE IT!” (PS… Matt I would be happy to come on your show)

@JasontheLayman That is the weakest excuse for an argument against the Book of Mormon I've ever read. I thought I'd read them all. So I'd give you a half point for creativity. Even so, it is a non sequitor at best.

If you're keeping track, there's a great number of hilarious things wrong with the Book of Mormon. When Joseph Smith imagined his fictional tale, he didn't realize the names in the Holy Bible actually meant something in Hebrew. The names he came up with largely do not. 😂
