@Biswajitkkdas @LOAT777 @AskLipun Mindtree only has a training academy in Bhubaneswar. There are no projects. This was done after 20-25 acres gifted by Naveen Patnaik to Bagchi. He sat on it for 15 years. Opened a training academy with capacity of 1500 people. Then proposed a hospital in Infocity 2.

Congrats to Odisha for hosting the world athletics event. The world-class ecosystem around stadia and sports complexes offers lots of lessons. We are building a sports city at our greenfield capital #Amaravati that aims to build an ecosystem of this scale to attract the best talent.
Manas Muduli@manas_muduli

As Odisha gears up to host World Athletics event in 2028, name another state in India that has invested in sports like this 👇 Sports Infra in #Odisha: • South Asia’s largest indoor athletics stadium • World’s largest Hockey Stadium • 8 regional sports complexes • 25 synthetic hockey turfs • India’s first FIFA Talent Academy • 6 FIFA-certified football grounds • India’s largest sports science center • 90 multi-purpose indoor stadiums • 314 rural mini stadiums • 140 urban mini stadiums • Aquatic Center • Athletics HPC • Gymnastics HPC • Swimming HPC • Badminton HPC • ITF-certified Tennis Center And this is still growing… Odisha isn’t just building infrastructure…it’s building a sporting future 🇮🇳

#WATCH | Delhi: BJD MP Sasmit Patra says, "It is a very sad and shameful development that the ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel plants, which were originally planned for Odisha, are now being shifted to Andhra Pradesh. When Naveen Patnaik was the Chief Minister of Odisha, he travelled to Japan and signed an MoU with Nippon Steel. Consequently, Nippon Steel was set to build its own steel plant in Odisha... The second most critical issue is that Odisha’s minerals will be transported to Andhra Pradesh via a slurry pipeline. If every steel plant and industry moves out of Odisha, and our minerals and coal are exported through such pipelines, nothing will be left for the state. It is wrong for steel plants to be established in other states while using Odisha’s resources instead of developing them here. I believe if Lakshmi Mittal wants to produce steel, he should do so in Odisha rather than taking our minerals to Andhra Pradesh."

Odisha is set to take up the long-pending Bhubaneswar Town Center (BTC) project at Master Canteen Square, spread across 12 acres. Key components: • Integrated multimodal transit hub • Mixed-use & economic development • Public realm & pedestrian-friendly spaces • Smart multilevel parking (EV-ready) • Land value unlocking & redevelopment • Enhanced urban connectivity & decongestion But one key piece is missing: Metro. A true multimodal transit hub isn’t complete without Mass Rapid Transit. The MRT must connect here to make seamless mobility a reality.

TMC & so called Bengali Bhadralok claim “Strong healthcare system” Then why the constant patient migration to Odisha? Why are AIIMS Bhubaneswar wards filled with patients from Bengal? Same story across Cuttack, Bhubaneswar & Balasore. Mamata Banerjee’s healthcare model looks good only in speeches. (1/2)

Andhra moved fast. Odisha slowed down. ₹1 lakh crore steel plant faces land delays in Odisha, while ₹1.36 lakh crore AM/NS project takes off in Andhra Pradesh. Big investments don’t wait…speed, clear land, and execution decide where industries go. Lesson for states: preparedness matters.

💾 INFRASTRUCTURE UPDATE | WEST BENGAL The Semiconductor Unit map showing India's semiconductor units has no pin on Bengal 😯 ⚡ WHAT IS ALREADY HAPPENING IN SALT LAKE, KOLKATA GlobalFoundries — the world's third largest semiconductor company after TSMC and Samsung — inaugurated its Bengal operations in February 2025 at STPI Salt Lake Sector V, Kolkata. It currently occupies 13,000 sq ft of advanced design and testing space. It has already requested an additional 19,000 sq ft within the same building — expansion underway within months of opening. Bengal's semiconductor story is not a promise. It is already operational. 🌍 WHO IS GLOBALFOUNDRIES — AND WHY THIS MATTERS GlobalFoundries is not a small company. It is ranked third globally in chip manufacturing — behind only TSMC and Samsung. It holds US defence contracts, supplies chips for electric vehicles, AI data centres, 5G towers, and next-generation military hardware. It has fabs in New York, Dresden, and Singapore. And it chose Kolkata for its first full-scale semiconductor fabless design centre in India. 💰 THE SCALE OF WHAT IS COMING ▸ Focus: Advanced 28nm–14nm chip nodes — for EVs, telecom, AI and defence ▸ Jobs: 20,000+ direct and indirectjobs in Bengal's emerging Silicon Corridor ▸ Land already identified near Kalyani for future fabrication expansion ▸ The facility will be named "Durga Shakti" — India's first multi-material fab for national security ▸ It will produce advanced semiconductors for the US Space Force — marking the first tech partnership between Indian businesses and the US Space Force and the first of its kind within the Quad group ▸ Applications: Advanced sensing, communication, power electronics, zero-emission vehicles, IoT, AI and data centres 🎓 BENGAL'S SECRET WEAPON — ITS STUDENTS At Semicon India 2025 — India's largest semiconductor summit — when the first 33 Made-in-India chips were unveiled, four of them came from Bengal. Teams from NIT Durgapur, IIEST Shibpur, and Calcutta University led the charge. 🔜 WHAT IS COMING NEXT ▸ Chief Minister @MamataOfficial has personally assured full government support — following a direct meeting with US Consul General Kathy Giles-Diaz ▸ A joint university internship programme with GlobalFoundries is being finalised ▸ Santech Global Inc. — New Jersey-based semiconductor and nanoelectronics firm — has expressed interest in launching a Kolkata project ▸ West Bengal's Global Capability Centre (GCC) policy is in final stages — designed to attract the next wave of global tech investment 🌟 THE POSITIVE NOTE India imports $25 billion worth of semiconductors every year. By 2030 that number hits $85 billion. Every chip India cannot make — it must buy. From Taiwan. From South Korea. From China. GlobalFoundries chose Bengal to help change that equation. Clean water. Uninterrupted power. Engineering talent. Government that moves fast. Kolkata will now join the global semiconductor map alongside Hsinchu, Dresden, and Malta. If successful, GlobalFoundries' Kolkata plant could become the blueprint for every future fab in India — from Micron to Intel, all eyes are now watching the East. The map will need a new pin soon. And it will say — Kolkata. West Bengal🩷 @wbgovt @mamataofficial @SuPriyoBabul Bengalis are eagerly awaiting an update on this project to ensure that the dream becomes a reality and the promise is finally delivered. #WestBengal #Semiconductor #GlobalFoundries #DurgaShakti #Kolkata #SiliconBengal #DigitalIndia #বাংলার_উন্নয়ন #MakeInIndia #BengalRising #ChipIndia @GlobalFoundries @SemiconIndia @SemiconIndia

𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗖𝗨𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡🎙️: West Bengal goes to the polls next month to elect the 18th Legislative Assembly. If you were setting the agenda for the next five years: ‣ What 3 policy changes would you prioritise? ‣ What 5 infrastructure projects are absolutely non-negotiable? Responses may consider the state’s fiscal position, the national political context, global economic and geopolitical conditions, and West Bengal’s geographic location. Focus on measures that are both economically viable and institutionally feasible.
