More election tomfoolery out of Clackamas County: Around 30k ballots have yet to be counted. This late counting also occurred in 2024. There’s also reports of registered Republicans being changed to NAV’s. There will be more results announced at 5pm today. The elections office have no idea where in the county the ballots are coming in from. In Clackamas County Commission position 5, @BenforOregon trails his challenger by less than 3k votes.

Nothing better than a well-written song done acoustically. That's how you know it's about the song -- not the bells and whistles. This is great. I never even realized I liked this one so much until this version. Kudos. Great choice.

@jasonrantz The hotels have drastically raised their rates during the World Cup (double - triple usual rates or more) to the point that they are pricing people out. It will kill summer non-World Cup tourism for the region. No one is paying $400+ a night to stay at the Holiday Inn Express.

@NoFilterSkin Prefer hotels but end up with AirBnb because I have kids over age 10 and a hotel room just doesn’t work (and getting two rooms is crazy expensive). Hotels need better family options.

Who else 100% prefers hotels over Airbnbs? Every penny I’ve spent staying at a hotel has never been a regret. Consistency, service, clean sheets, amenities, and no surprise checkout chores. 🙌🏻

@jasonrantz I wanted to stay in Kirkland for my grandson's baptism in June. The hotel I normally stay at and most others I checked all jacked up their prices and had multi night minimums. Going to stay an hour away at another relative's home.

Seattle sold itself as World Cup-ready. The hotel industry just called it a "non-event" six weeks out. Eighty percent of hotels report bookings below a normal summer. Tourists are going to Miami and Atlanta, instead. Does this truly surprise you?

What's the spookiest thing that ever happened to you? We're talking real glitch in the Matrix stuff. For me it was back when I was living in Los Angeles, I had lost my wallet. I looked everywhere for that wallet. I mean everywhere. I had to replace my ID, all my credit cards, everything. So one morning a year later I wake up and go into the kitchen to make coffee and what's sitting right in the middle of the kitchen counter? My wallet! I'm like, there is no way that wallet has been here the whole time! I had cleaned that kitchen hundreds of times since I had lost it. Anyway that was really spooky.
