@LauraCappelle I was really gutted for the gymnasts….The commentators here were talking about the different beam types (some featuring rounded edges, others rectangular, sharper, edges).…This, apparently, made a real difference on the gymnasts ability to balance.

Happy 101st birthday to my Dad, Clifford Watts. He has had a difficult few months with two falls and an infection that would have floored most elderly people but the hospital said that he is strong and he keeps bouncing back. Let’s hope that continues for a few more years!

The Sleeping Beauty grand pas de deux was fascinating if not only for the sheer speed of it - I’m guessing it was 30 seconds faster than the norm now #ballet #themagicofdance

By reducing the company’s product in such a drastic way, how will @northernballet justify the company’s @ace_national funding? Any argument to maintain the same level would point to the company, despite its statement, has other priorities. @ace_thenorth @WeAreTheMU @NLebrecht

Absolutely devastated to hear that the @NBSinfonia will be made redundant in 2024. Ballet needs live music! Dangerous slippery slope for @northernballet. This is part of a wider conversation on how the performing arts are funded. @ace_national where are you?

I am so utterly heartbroken for the @NBSinfonia - and to do when the MD position is vacant with ongoing recruitment is incredulous. Enough is enough. You must reconsider your decision. @northernballet @daicollins
