@h_um_ble_ @realMaalouf Umm. U happen to think the world is flat?
English

@realMaalouf "why isn't my delusional world view that gets me paid by Israelis treated as a fact of reality"

@AlexanderSoros @MeidasTouch Idiotic take. Joe Rogan is left. You guys just badly wish he wasn't.
English

We can do better than a 'Joe Rogan of the left' — and we have. They're called @MeidasTouch, and they're outperforming every benchmark.
Congrats, guys. barrettmedia.com/2026/04/23/mei…

@LarryLonerX @James7Holland Meat grinder? It is for Ukraine, but the Russians have not been sustaining heavy losses. It would be impossible to conceal.

So, Ukraine gets its €90 billion
I get the optics. EU must do something, otherwise this Biden/NATO/EU foreign policy disaster in Eastern Europe turns also into a defeat.
But let’s take a step back, like few in the EU echo-chamber dare do anymore, because the Zelenskyy cult is so dominant in Brussels, and so strongly shored up by super-lobbyists like Tony Blair, Anders Fogh-Rasmussen, Carl Bildt or Sanna Marin.
1st great tragedy here: EU is sending this money to 🇺🇦 while continuing to purchase billions in oil and gas from 🇷🇺. 🇪🇺 is funding both sides of this conflict and has done for 4yrs. An inhumane shitshow.
2nd tragedy: this money will fund thousands more being unwillingly sent to die over a few square kms of farmland in Eastern Ukraine. There are stories about corrupt 🇺🇦 army recruitment personnel extorting life savings from people who are unsurprisingly willing to pay anything not to die on the front line. Also heard further you go through the recruitment process, the more people must be paid off. This is why recruiters are now openly being attacked and arrested in Ukraine itself. Patience is wearing thin.
No doubt something similar is happening in Russia.
3rd tragedy: by now, we know lots of the money will be stolen. Corrupt officials, oligarchs and military personnel expect their share. We’ve seen countless stories in the press about corruption in 🇺🇦, yet this endemic corruption is quietly sidelined by “journalists” when Brussels celebrates billions of EU taxpayers money being sent to Kyiv.
Just this week, we learnt mayors on low salaries and oligarchs with vast fortunes are busy buying properties in Monaco and elsewhere. With elections suspended in Ukraine, and a state of war in place, they are cashing out seemingly unhindered, and choosing jurisdictions they obviously feel they can trust long term. Macron’s France is clearly seen as one such place. It is also clear that while France is pushing billions towards Ukraine, the French state won’t be investigating or arresting many corrupt Ukrainian officials. Such stories would be devastating for Macron’s ability to keep funding the Zelenskyy regime.
I repeat: this kind of corruption and taking of funds to beautiful European rivieras is no doubt also happening on the Russian side. This isn’t about picking sides. This is about the right and ability to discuss some of the awkward truths around the war in Ukraine and the vast EU taxpayers funds being sent there.
To criticise the horrifying continuation of the conflict, or the absurd ongoing funding of both sides, or the corruption in Ukraine doesn’t make me pro-Putin. It makes me a normal human being. Millions share my concerns. That is why I have assisted efforts to get Europeans and Russians to sit around tables together again, and why I am so disheartened when the EU elite threaten to withdraw funding from the Paralympics or Venice Biennial just because Russian athletes and artists are participating. This smacks of wanting to dehumanise Russians, so that war—and even widespread continental war—is easier to sell to Europeans.
The problem in Brussels (and Berlin, Paris, London, Helsinki, Tallin, Warsaw, Riga, Stockholm, etc) is that a majority of politicians there (and the malleable reporters who are their obedient allies on this topic) are so dogmatic only victory over Moscow is now perceived as an acceptable outcome.
Putting aside the many military experts who are categorical that such an outcome is impossible, few seem to acknowledge the vast human and financial cost of their geopolitical desires, or the many absurdities/contradictions of the policies they’ve implemented.
That is why I find Kallas and Zelenskyy always smiling so disturbing. They appear to have psychologically detached their desire for victory from the terrible realities of war.
I hope with this article I have added some rationality to the belief (sadly still a controversial one in Brussels) that this war should end as soon as possible.

@MappingMarcus @Chris_Somewhere @James7Holland Yea. Google 2026 conscription changes Russia. Its so dam hard to do.
Frankly i don't care what you think. I simply told you what these individuals have told me.
English

@LarryLonerX @Chris_Somewhere @James7Holland "Personally talked with". How can we refute such strong evidence!
"Maybe not at mass, who knows". You certainly don't bit it's not stopping you from trying to spread it is it?

Look, i wish the territories to be locked so the killing can stop.
Russia is not the good guy, neither is USA, NATO, Ukraine or EU when it comes to this topic. At this point everyone are plain evil idiotic.
English

@LarryLonerX @Chris_Somewhere @James7Holland The fact you use 'meat grinder' reveals you to be a consumer of propaganda narratives.
Many left Russia as they expected marshal law. Many came back. People moving in and out all the time. No real evidence of another wave fleeing this year. Can you provide that?
English

@tonipitkanen_ Talousrikokset tai verojen maksamatta jättäminen.
Suomi

@Dimsvan25406 @ihikebc @James7Holland Yea, that is what usually happens when your country is being attacked.
Nothing cotradictary about that. Your country would block its males from leaving if attacked. So would Russia.
English

@LarryLonerX @ihikebc @James7Holland You yourself just contradicted yourself - Ukrainians are being hunted like animals on their own streets to be thrown into the meatgrinder precisely because borders are closed to them. Russians can leave any time - it's impossible to do to them what is done to Ukrainians
English

@MedvedevRussiaE Nice AI post, trolls of Kremlin are getting lazy.
English

@Chris_Somewhere @James7Holland You are so ignorant to think this.
I have personally talked with multiple well educated Russians that fled to Thailand so that they are not forcefully thrown to the meat grinder.
Latest group of fleeing citizens happened right before 2026 digital drafting was set in to law.
English

@James7Holland Actually nothing similar is happening in Russia. They've been able to demobilize their conscripts from 2022.
I agree with the rest of your post.
This however is the military reality. It makes the whole war even more an unwinnable situation for Europe.

@James7Holland "No doubt something similar is happening in Russia." A very bizarre statement. Russia mobilized army reservists in 2022 and, since then, adds new fighters exclusively via voluntary contracts.
