🚨DEBUNKING DEMOCRAT SPIN Here's @RepCohen's press release touting that he questioned the "smear" that the SPLC is anti-Christian, suggesting that he stood up against supposedly false claims. But I know what really happened, because I was the witness. 🧵1/7

Islamist ideology is at fundamental odds with the tenets of Western civilization. Herein lies a tension: If our commitment to an Open Society cannot prevent the undoing of, and harm to the Open Society, by those who would use the principles of freedom to eventually sunset those same principles, perhaps aspects of those principles—namely, the extent to which they are exercisable—need revisiting. In other words, a reasonable pluralism can only succeed if there is, at some point, an identifiable line that is crossed that erodes the plausibility of pluralism to start with. Tragically, the ambient relativism of liberalism makes the boundaries of reasonableness nearly impossible for the modern mind to discern, as we have already embraced, by cultural habit and custom, the irrational elsewhere. The only way to return Western order to sanity is to re-Christianize the West. Secularism is uncomfortable with this. The question is: Will secularists be more comfortable with a Christian order or less comfortable with an Islamic order? Regardless, secularism will not survive, so it needs to choose its conqueror.

What a surprise it is to find out that surgically removing the healthy body parts of young people and giving them drugs doesn't make them into the opposite sex but rather causes permanent harm. Who could have foreseen this? 🙄
ADM Brian Christine, MD@ADM_Christine

Today, we released a report exposing the truth: pediatric sex-rejecting procedures are not evidence-based. They are dangerous. Enough is enough. Read it for yourself. Protecting children should not be controversial, it is our duty. The tide is turning.

YES!!!
Rick Scott@SenRickScott

Totally agree, @POTUS! I’m writing the bill right now. We must stop taxpayer money from going to insurance companies and instead give it directly to Americans in HSA-style accounts and let them buy the health care they want. This will increase competition & drive down costs.

Christopher is out of surgery and recovering in good spirits. The surgeon says the operation was successful, and Christopher already has some movement in his hands, arms and toes, as well as some feeling in his legs. He will be going later this week to rehab for 2-4 weeks, and will likely need rehab from home for 4-6 months. Once again, we thank you all! We are overwhelmed by all of the love and prayers. God is so good! Please continue to pray that Christopher will regain full mobility and movement of his legs. He asks that, most of all, we pray that through this situation many more people will come to know Jesus and the gospel! Thank you, everyone! And thank you, Jesus!

Remember: Political violence is the refuge of a losing political movement that cannot make good arguments or persuade naturally, so they resort to raw power to “win.” But their manner of “victory” is actually an admission of defeat—that the ideas themselves can’t win. Charlie Kirk was the antithesis of this loser mentality: A happy warrior, persuasive, daring, and fearless.

Assassination culture is spreading on the left. Forty-eight percent of liberals say it would be at least somewhat justified to murder Elon Musk. Fifty-five percent said the same about Donald Trump. In California, activists are naming ballot measures after Luigi Mangione. The left is being whipped into a violent frenzy. Any setback, whether losing an election or losing a court case, justifies a maximally violent response. This is the natural outgrowth of left-wing protest culture tolerating violence and mayhem for years on end. The cowardice of local prosecutors and school officials have turned the left into a ticking time bomb. foxnews.com/us/new-bombshe…

During the press conference on the resolutions, I was asked by a journalist—charitably, I’ll assume in good faith—whether the omnibus Resolution #5, which calls for overturning Obergefell, was grounded in a theocratic or so-called “Christian Nationalist” agenda, as though we are attempting to impose Christian doctrine upon the nation. I responded by noting that while the truths articulated in Resolution #5 undeniably flow from a Christian moral vision, they are by no means truths accessible only through Christian revelation. These are moral realities that cultures across history and across the globe have recognized. Consider this simple fact: of the world’s roughly 8 billion people, only about 1.5 billion live under legal regimes that recognize same-sex marriage. Roughly 81% of nations still retain the natural understanding of marriage. The same global pattern holds true regarding the laws and customs that honor the embodied nature of human beings and the priority of the natural family. In other words, what Western progressivism now requires active ideological coercion to overturn is, in fact, a moral order that is both broadly recognized and deeply rooted in natural law and human nature. The Christian moral witness aligns with these “self-evident truths”—to borrow the language of our own Declaration of Independence—not because Christianity is an arbitrary imposition, but because it faithfully testifies to the way the world actually is. This is the enduring beauty of Christian morality: it is not a parochial morality, but a true morality. To speak of “imposing” a Christian understanding of marriage and family is no more an imposition of sectarian dogma than it would be to say that gravity imposes itself upon us. It is simply truth doing what truth does.

Yes! Women don't want their purpose to be bringing a man his slippers whenever he barks out the order. We were designed to be led spiritually and morally, to be leveled up and equipped to have an impact for good, to be a partner in being fruitful and making disciples. A man who leads that way (esp. in the context of marriage, as God designed it) is in for an adventure of fun, respect, trust, and an amazing sex life.

I just came up with a new way to say it! Again! Every time I do this, there's 2 seconds where I feel like "this is the last thing I'll ever need to say about this and everyone will get it and we can finally all start acting right..." ...and then I realize "no, everyone has to hear it in a different way and not everyone can reach understanding through the same thing." Anyway. You know how sometimes you think about the vastness and emptiness of life, and what does it all mean, and what should you do, and what's the purpose of it all, and you have to figure out something to fill that void? And you create meaningful actions for yourself to take? Women want you to do that FOR them. They LOVE that. That's what they mean by "leading." Not "boss me around and make me wash laundry." More like "play a song that makes me love being alive. Make a plan for us that I can have faith in." THAT kind of leading. That's why everything's so fucked! The whole civilized world went and taught its men that leading makes you naughty and you have to be a good little "it's just my opinion but" guy or else you did the holocaust or slavery or whatever. That's spiritual castration. They taught you NOT to fill women's lives with meaning, and instead ask them permission to have an opinion. That's the spiritual form of sexual union that they taught you was MORALLY WRONG to do. And now no one's having kids! Economics also play a part obv. Anyway go be cool enough to make a girl change her beliefs. "I would like to have an opinion if it's OK with all the ladies and doesn't make anyone sad" UGH

I'm planning to do my dissertation on natural law as a biblical foundation for objective moral truth and human flourishing. My favorite author on this topic so far is @andrewtwalker who I'm hoping will give me feedback on my contributions at some point. Walker writes in "Faithful Reason": "Christian natural law ethics from start to finish is an act of grace. Even the character of goodness...is itself of grace. That God creates human beings and lets even fallen human beings experience moral goodness reflects God’s common grace and his creational bounty to his creatures. The goodness that humans can experience is a goodness that reflects God’s own being. Such an approach to Christian ethics is understood within a natural law teleology: In His divine wisdom, God has seen fit to design a universe and a field of moral action consistent with his own nature. God orders creaturely activity to be consistent with the universe he has designed. To the extent we obey God and fulfill what he demands of us within this moral order, we pursue God’s glory by recognizing his authority and majestic creatorship. But we also, simultaneously, pursue our own good as we align ourselves with the Creator’s intentions for our flourishing. All qualities of the 'good,' then, are reflections of God’s own nature since God could not impart anything less than a measure of himself in ordering the moral world." (p. 29-30)

@realMaalouf Why do you use the term "Islamism"? It's Islam itself--the teachings of the Quran and the example set forth by Muhammad, the "excellent pattern of conduct"-- that are the reason for the horrific behavior of many Muslims.

As you're writing more books, I'm reading as much as I can of what you've already published. I'm hoping to do my dissertation on natural law as a means of advocating for truth and goodness in the public square. I'm hoping to land on a thesis that extends the excellent work you've done (and continue to do).
