Dudley Moore would have been 90 today! Wonderful comedian/actor/musician. And yet - troubled...By the time I knew him, he seemed to care most about piano-playing, apparently regretting not having pursued a career as a classical pianist. But his other talents produced so much joy!

Wow - quite an adventure with @emirates, trying to get to Melbourne. Originally flying Sat night (arriving Monday am). After 2 hours on plane, flight cancelled. Next morning, cello and me rebooked on separate flights! Now in Dubai, with 19 hr stopover. 37 hours delay - so far...

Visiting my older daughter for the first time in Paris 🇫🇷. She’s a sophomore at the Sorbonne, studying economics. She invited us up to her tiny, single rooftop apartment near the Montmartre district. She warned us there’s no lift, we’ll have to take the stairs. The stairs. 😳😂

@FringeDoctor Yes, close enough. USGS says it is 4.4, but it felt a whole lot worse than that. Worst one I felt in my 18 years in LA. I live in hills/on rock so perhaps it’s amplified. Neighbors all agree! Scary. And so noisy.

This makes me terribly sad. For most of my life, this Earthrise image has been my favorite. Its profound beauty inspired me to learn and explore, and treasure our beautiful planet. Rest in peace.
