@SneauxMaiden @CartoonsHateHer Absolutely not true. While pregnant with my son I had an opiate screening that pinged positive after eating a poppyseed hamantashan *the day before.* Granted that is a lot of poppyseeds but my chart indicated for my whole pregnancy that the test was positive.

@CartoonsHateHer I'm always skeptical of these stories bc when I was getting drug tested for the military I asked asked about this and they said that you'd have to be consuming a ridiculous volume every day for an extended period of time for it to show up on a test.

This shit is so so draining and time consuming when you are already dealing with the crisis of having a very ill family member. Those disability payments helped cover assisted living for 3 years which can cost $10k a month.

Aetna sent a PI to follow my mom around after she applied for long term disability. They denied her claim that she was disabled due to Alzheimer’s because she was walking my sister’s dog and went to an ATM. Luckily my dad is an attorney and we had the resources to appeal but
