this reveals a feature unique to cloud communities: mass mobility, since the real "home" of the human network is not a specific geography but rather the internet i manage billions and invest globally. @balajis is correct: people like me are watching this closely @anwaribrahim

bitcoiners always needed something to DO while waiting for the btc price to slowly go up you can spend your time creating, collecting, and playing with art or you can spend your time arguing about kiddie porn, harassing protocol developers, and posting conspiracy theories

I'm proud to announce that Celestia Labs has acquired Sovereign Labs! This acquisition is part of a larger strategic shift for Celestia, as we evolve from a Layer 1 focused on high-throughput blockspace into a full-stack blockchain technology provider. Our thesis from the beginning was that for blockchain applications to scale to the globe, the underlying blockchain infrastructure needs to be scalable, performant and customizable, and that the modular, app-specific blockchain architecture was the best way to achieve this. Over the years, this thesis has been borne out in the market. The largest apps and enterprises like Hyperliquid, Polymarket and Robinhood are choosing to build their own custom chains to gain the scale and control that general purpose chains can't provide. The demand for custom chains will only accelerate as blockchain transitions from an experimental technology into the backend settlement layer of global finance and the internet itself. And yet, Celestia's adoption to date has remained lackluster. There are several reasons for this, but the most important one is that we chose to focus solely on scaling blockspace, but blockspace is not the end product that customers want. The end product that customers want is a designed, built and deployed custom chain. Something that our current team and tech stack were not well-equipped to provide. While we may be experts in Layer 1 scaling, having built Fibre which can power up to 625M TPS, we didn't have expertise on the other half of the equation: the execution layer. Until now. The acquisition of Sovereign Labs brings on the complementary talent and technology to enable us to build and deliver the product that successful apps and enterprises need. Our in-house expertise now spans entire stack of blockchain engineering, enabling end-to-end development for peak scale, performance and customization. And our combined team is now one of the most experienced blockchain engineering teams in the industry, having shipped over 25 chains to production. We're now ready to build the infrastructure that can meet the demands of the most ambitious crypto applications, and we're already seeing early traction that the gap that we've identified is significant and real. The acquisition of Sovereign Labs is the beginning of a new go-to-market strategy and more ambitious chapter for Celestia. One that our entire team is amped execute. A more ambitious era of digital markets requires more ambitious infrastructure to match. With Sovereign on board, we are ready to build it.
