Good morning, friends and Patriots. The political activity in our country continues to raise uncertainty and disquiet among the people. We must, however, keep our eyes peeled on our sovereignty, democracy and constitutionalism. The @Senate_KE Constitution of Kenya (Amendment) (No.2) Bill 2024 proposes to entirely overhaul our democratic space as we know it. The irrational, ill-advised, and poorly timed proposals to establish additional political positions and extend constitutional terms betray the will of the people of Kenya. We have an opportunity to ensure we affirm what our will is, and resoundingly so. The @LawSocietyofKe calls on all Kenyans to critically evaluate and send their views on the Bill within the prescribed timelines. Let us protect the sanctity of our constitution and preserve the legal and institutional framework it establishes. Let us exercise our civic duty through effective and proactive public participation.

@SokoAnalyst This tax has always been provided in the Copyright Act but was not being collected. Other countries have a similar levy on blank media and is likely to paid by manufacturers or importers thru collaboration between KRA , @KenyaCopyright & the Collective Management Organizations.
