@hankrsmith The charges are not dropped. The case is simply, in effect, on "hold." There is still a legal cause here. It would be a very bad look to just allow him back on the team.

Perhaps the largest sacrament meeting in the world is happening right now in the Marriott Center. BYU Fathers and Sons camp. 1,300 people. 16 priests blessing and 36 deacons passing the sacrament. Former @byufootball tight end and now counselor in the Sunday School Presidency, Gabe Reid said this gathering celebrates the greatest victory ever won. Jesus over sin and death. @BYUMBB head coach Kevin Young also talked about building a foundation on Christ.

@MichaelStanger1 Very true, @MichaelStanger1. The way the Lord delivers us often does not look like what we expect or want. But He knows how to succor His people in a perfect way.

There is a moment early in Moses’ efforts to help his people that carries a sharp and sobering edge. Seeing the suffering of his people, Moses steps in to help. He intervenes, acts decisively, and seeks to make things right. But the next day, when he tries to reconcile two Hebrews, he is met with a cutting response: “Who made thee a prince and a judge over us?” (Exodus 2:14). He is not just rejected; he is dismissed. Moses is not seen for who he is or who he will become. His attempt to deliver is misunderstood, even resented. The very people he seeks to help question his authority and resist his intervention. Yet again, he foreshadows Christ. John writes of the Savior, “He came unto his own, and his own received him not” (John 1:11). Like Moses, Christ steps into a world of suffering with power to save. Like Moses, He is not recognized. His authority is questioned. His mission is misunderstood. And in many cases, He is not only rejected, but opposed, leading Him to remark that “no prophet is accepted in his own country.” There is a pattern here. God’s deliverers are often not recognized when they first appear. They do not always arrive in ways people expect. They may seem out of place, premature, or even threatening. Before they are received, they are questioned. Before they are followed, they are doubted. Moses will one day return as the appointed deliverer of Israel. Christ will be revealed in glory as King of Kings. But in the beginning, both stand unwelcomed and unrecognized among their own people. That reality invites a simple, introspective question for each of us. How often do we fail to recognize the Lord’s deliverance because it does not look the way we expect? The danger is not just that others missed Him. It is that we might too. #ComeFollowMe #SundaySchool #SaintsOnX

@BetMGM @davidrbelldave USU somehow always finds a way to be pretty good despite disadvantages in location, budget, facilities, and a pretty regular coaching carousel. Hats off to them

@Ch_JesusChrist It’s so great to have new, diverse hymns. They will enrich our lives if we try to become familiar with them and learn of their core messages.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has added 12 new songs to the “Hymns for Home and Church” collection, many of which have ties to the Old Testament. "We believe these will be helpful to anyone in their Bible study," said Sunday School General President Paul V. Johnson.
