The Eagles have added to the Quarterback Factory Some thoughts on Cole Payton: ** Very funny the Eagles have added a quarterback out of North Dakota State to backup Jalen Hurts ** College stats: 72% on 225 attempts, 2,719 yards, 16 TD, 4 INT in one season…136 carries for 777 yards 13 TD ** Big body QB that can run. Accurate passer too. Intriguing prospect. Has the physical tools you want in a QB. ** I think Payton is a ways away from being able to play in the NFL. So not sure this is a direct Tanner McKee (if traded) for 2025. But I do think they hope Payton can be the backup QB on a cheap contract in 2027 and beyond.

Think we are saying the same thing, Lemon will contribute but I don’t think he starts right away. Mundt will be “”TE2 because of his blocking, Goedert is a below average blocker. Now that said Stowers is going to play and contribute in packages, could see him at times play slot or even traditional WR, could line him up in the backfield with Barkley. Really excited about the versatility of the playmakers on this offense

I’m fascinated to see how the Eagles deploy Devonta Smith, Makai Lemon, Dontayvion Wicks, Dallas Goedert, and Eli Stowers in the Sean Mannion offense. I wish I could time travel to a week 6 game or something next season to get a peak at what it looks like.
