BREAKING: Congressman Jamie Raskin joins forces with 15 other Democrats to demand that Attorney General Pam Bondi release the Jeffrey Epstein files that mention Donald Trump — as well as the report on Jack Smith's Mar-a-Lago investigation.
And the nightmare gets even worse for Trump...
"This Administration has repeatedly claimed that President Trump is ‘the most transparent and accessible president in American history.’ So far, your DOJ has not only failed to live up to this promise, but you have also consistently hidden from the American public materials and information that may be damaging to President Trump," wrote Raskin and other Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee in a letter to Bondi.
"Your conduct is particularly worrisome as it appears to be part of a pattern of using the DOJ to cover up evidence of criminal wrongdoing by President Trump, including information allegedly contained in the Epstein files," they continued. "We write today to demand that you release the Smith report immediately, as well as any evidence mentioning or referencing Donald Trump in the Epstein files.”
The letter comes after a Justice Department memo was leaked which claimed that there is no Epstein client list, no evidence that the billionaire pedophile blackmailed powerful people, and no reason to believe that he was murdered. The memo was particularly remarkable because Bondi had previously stated that the Epstein client list was waiting on her desk to be reviewed.
When asked about Epstein during a Cabinet meeting yesterday, Trump melted down in deeply suspicious fashion, ranting that nobody should care about that "creep" anymore.
Trump was a longtime friend of Epstein and previously called the monstrous pedophile a "terrific guy." Former MAGA ally Elon Musk has alleged that Trump is in the Epstein files and recently stated that Steve Bannon is as well.
The DOJ memo is drawing questions from not only Democrats but MAGA supporters as well. The Republican base has been clamoring for more information on Epstein for years. While most of them still stubbornly refuse to believe that Trump himself could be implicated, they're demanding immediate answers.
"This raises the question of whether the White House has moved to prevent the declassification and public release of the full Epstein files because they implicate President Trump, and whether these massive redaction efforts and the withholding of the files were intended to shield your boss from embarrassing revelations within those files," Raskin and the others wrote.
They also tore into the failure to release the Jack Smith report in full—
"It is particularly instructive that you have apparently decided to allow prosecutors to testify about their yearslong investigation of President Trump, even as you refuse to release the fruit of that investigation, forcing the prosecutors to defend themselves essentially with hands tied behind their backs," they wrote.
“It is not a coincidence that President Trump installed his personal legal team to top positions at the DOJ, appointing you, Todd Blanche, Emil Bove—who all served as his defense counsel at one time or another—to the three most senior positions at DOJ," they went on. "
"… By doing so, DOJ has all but turned into President Trump’s personal law firm, ensuring that damaging information about him would remain hidden from public view. The American people deserve uncensored answers and authentic transparency from this Administration and a full understanding of Mr. Trump’s actions," they added.
Please retweet and ❤️ to demand the full release of the Epstein files and Jack Smith report!
