Waited to post this as I needed to calm down first. I popped into a local pub on Friday evening as I didn’t feel like cooking so thought I’d grab dinner on my way home. It was fairly busy but I found a table and ordered food and a drink.

@7HMOON @_sorrengailll Agree. This made zero difference to my skin. It looked just as pink/red toned after using it as it did before.

@marksandspencer bad service today. I bought a 3 pk of socks a week ago. Wore a pair out shopping today and 6 hours later they have a hole in one sole. Just been told in the shop I must go home and get the other two pairs to return with the faulty pair in order to get a refund.

@DearRebelAda M&S at Brooklands near Woking has just been refurbished and has gender neutral cubicles with sinks/driers in. They stink. Went there today, had to queue as they were all full. A boy of about 12 came out, I went in after him he hadn’t flushed and there was piss all over the seat.

In M&S toilets, a Mum + pushchair-bound toddler, waiting for a wider loo for both. None were available, so Mum used an ordinary one with door half-ajar, baby carefully wedged there for eye contact+reassurance. A wonderful solution, possible only when we feel comfortable and safe.

Now Pog has data from all 6 monuments and knows what he needs from nutrition, which W he needs on which section of the course, the rest is pure execution. This is a huge problem for the peloton in the coming years, 100% unsolvable if VDP falls a little in form

@davecorviddave Perfectly plausible that there is no data. How many “trans women” choose to use men’s toilets? Once they believe they have a viable reason they don’t. Also why the suggested campaign to let them know they are safe there is pointless. It’s not where they want to go so they won’t.

Has anyone ever seen a study showing that "transwomen" are at heightened risk in men's toilets and change facilities? I haven't and I feel sure we would have seen it if there was one.

@looflol I think the mutual extreme dislike only really exists amongst the sprinters now. I guess probably because they are more likely to smack lumps out of each other during the run in to the line. I can think of several that seem to hate each other.

What REALLY pisses me off is that pogi and mathieu don’t hate each other, and outside of mathieu wanting “wout” to not win there are NO FUCKING non cycling narratives for the top riders

@sarahlbee28 @MenAtWork_MC Yup. I ordered it off of Amazon initially and then managed to get it on prescription. Mum could manage 3 a day of the Ensure Plus even when she wasn’t up to eating anything else and it made a big difference. She was a fan of the banana or the coffee flavours.

@Liath74 @MenAtWork_MC Ensure was brilliant when my gran had dementia. Doctors were very stingy about prescribing it though and switched her to a cheaper alternative which she didn't like. We ended up ordering it through Amazon. Bit pricey but worth it to us for the calories and could choose flavours.

Taking my mum 4 her 1st chemo session tmrw. Not much to say apart from we’re all being as positive as poss. Daunting, at her age, but she’s keen 2 get started. If anyone has any positive stories of elder (80’s) folk finding chemo giving them cause 4 some hope, I’m here 4 that. Ta

@TheNewBacklash Audiobooks is a good idea, thanks. She’s always been a voracious reader. Ideally will still be but as you say, the drugs might impact that. Popsicles is interesting - why?
