There have been a spate of unilateral closes with #CLN v0.11.0. If you haven't upgraded yet, I suggest delaying while we get to the bottom of this!

@purpurato The answer is too complex to fit in a tweet :) but the gist is that i do not want more transactions, I want less transactions, but more value, and base fee helps. I will definitely switch to zero base once LN implementations are “more ready”.

@LightningTo_Me why don't you guys leave 0 base fee on your channels? In my experience it's a lot better and much more routing since implemented

I just wanted to give a quick update on the disk space usage for the database, comparing LND and c-lightning.
My LND node (~800 channels) saw an increase of about 5-7GB a day.
My c-lightning node (~400 channels) is seeing an increase of about 300-500MB a day.

Pretty sweet improvement coming soon to LND soon. Right now every payment has a footprint of around 1k bytes associated with LND's channel database, in order to retain revocation details. With optimization, this can potentially get down to around 50 bytes: github.com/lightningnetwo…

@realtbast @lightning @roasbeef Definitely not a fundamental problem with LN. lnd will improve dramatically with the upcoming migration to PostgreSQL, but if I understand correctly it it will still be in gigabytes for larger nodes unless many more optimizations are done.
