Great questions from @base Longer answer to: how do we grow? 1) obsess over security, stability and simplicity Financial products fail on trust before they fail on features. Users do not tolerate downtime, unclear balances, or ambiguous flows. Incumbents like Monzo and Revolut built early loyalty through reliability and clean UX, not breadth. In a self-custodial model, this constraint is stricter. Key management, transaction finality, and recovery flows must be legible to non-technical users. Every additional step increases drop-off. Every failure mode compounds reputational risk. The product should default to safe outcomes, reduce cognitive load, and make correct behaviour the path of least resistance. 2) listen to Liminalists Liminalists are user-stakeholders. They are economic participants with aligned upside. That changes the feedback model. Signal comes from capital allocation, usage intensity, and governance participation, not surveys. Tokenholders reveal preference through behaviour: where they hold balances, what they route through the system, and whether they advocate. This is closer to how protocols like MakerDAO interpret stakeholder alignment. Product decisions should follow where committed capital concentrates and where it exits. 3) meet customers where they are Adoption follows existing rails, not ideology. Most users will bridge from fiat accounts, centralised exchanges, or local banks. Very few start fully on-chain. Products that win, such as PayPal and Cash App, scale by embedding into existing behaviour, then extending it. For Liminal, this means corridor-specific on/off-ramps, familiar UX, and progressive exposure to self-custody. The system should not require users to change behaviour upfront. It should upgrade behaviour over time.
