What if I say most of the Egyptian alien theories are actually because of racism? The idea that these "ancient primitive African people" couldn't build a giant stack of rocks, or carve an ear well by themselves, but the "ancient advanced Greeks" could make the Parthenon alone

This was clearly the work of a hammer, a chisel, and an extremely steady hand. Nothing unusual here. (The Abduction of Proserpina-1621, Bernini)

Oh boy, you picked the wrong bitch to argue with about Dragon Age. Veilguard has basically ZERO agency, and not just in the role-playing. Don't like an NPC? Tough shit. You can't kill them. Like a villain? Too bad, the game already decided they are dying. Don't like a companion? Guess what? They're staying whether you like it or not. And don't even start with "just ignore Taash." You literally can't. Even if you skip their quest, the game still forces scenes involving them and their quest to find their identity, which is their ENTIRE PERSONALITY. And before anyone tries it, no, my issue isn't that Taash is nonbinary. Dragon Age has had LGBTQ+ characters for years and nobody gave a shit because they were written like actual people. Leliana and Zevran were bisexual. Krem was trans. None of that felt out of place because it fit naturally into Thedas and the game's writing. Krem even had in-universe lore explaining his identity, and you only learned about it if you CHOSE to ask. It was COMPLETELY OPTIONAL. With Taash, it feels like the character exists to stop the story every five minutes and remind you they're nonbinary. That's the fucking problem. It feels forced, it clashes with the setting, and it's written with the subtlety of a brick through a window.

@nuhre_ Agency to avoid... What? Player choice to avoid... What? You're focused on pronouns, but not other things? What if I want the agency/choice to not kill a certain enemy? OR decide if a char dies, etc., oh no the game is forcing me! The way your argument falls apart is priceless

@EndymionYT ok so you dont want anything new you just want sequel after sequel remaster after remaster. So how did we get expedition 33? Devs took a chance. We need new games not sequels to games we have already played.

Yes like unironically yes. I keep hearing from devs on Twitter “we should let the devs make what they want to make” & 9/10 times it’s something nobody wants to play. So unfortunately yes, this also begs the question…what the fuck were Microsoft’s studios making for so long that nothing anyone cared about wasn’t taking priority? How is Fallout, an IP you spent billions to buy, not your priority immediately out of the gate? Make it make sense to me

Its actually crazy that Asha Sharma had to step in and redirect Obsidian from Avowed 2, to prioritize a new Fallout game. Do these studios just not listen to what fans actually want?

@JayWood2010 Sometimes they just want to do what THEY want to do. Crazy I know. Wild that an artist would feel that way.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 star Luke Dale says the game's huge success didn't lead to more acting offers, so he became a Twitch streamer instead “I know people want me to stream … so I did, and that's worked incredibly well” he told Firezide Chat

@Jaegdier the reason the british rule of Egypt is different as that muslim Iberia or al Andalusia was a formal and fully integrated part of the muslim world, it became the homeland, british Egypt followed the extraction model that defines colonialism, nobody in Egypt was "british"

@BattyWanderer Yeah no, at some point you have to make what the market wants and do your job versus only working on shit that you want to.

@MrCasey62 Bowing to and praying to is reserved for God. That’s not veneration. That’s worship. You think Mary is a divine sinless being. Stop playing word games.
