‼️ The government are going to be consulting on dog breeding in April and this is our chance to demand change ‼️ You can expect us to be using our voice, and we encourage you to use yours 💜 It’s a little known fact that so many healthy dogs die in UK council pounds. And the situation is only getting worse 😢 This article might focus on Ireland, but at least it is raising awareness. UK euthanasia reporting isn’t standardised, nor does this include those euthanised in UK rescues or by owners who take healthy dogs to the vets to end their lives. The bull breeds are consistency in the top 3 dogs who end up in UK pounds. We stand shoulder to shoulder with those working in this difficult area, we feel your struggles and daily heartache. For the longest time we have championed the staffies and the bullies. As soon as we rehome one, we go and save another. We will always continue to do that - we just wish there were more homes and more people willing to open the hearts to a rescue.
