Ms. J.K. Rowling, I too am against trans women in women's sports. But do you really think Imane Khelif is a man or a trans woman? Personally, I thought she was a woman, and that this could be an opportunity to create an intermediate category that would bring together intersex people, trans people, and other genetic or health conditions that result in strong androgeny.

So, yesterday was Valentine's Day... My girlfriend arrived home after her shift ended. I had a nice dinner waiting for her (which she enjoyed) with a small Amazon gift card (which she found very sweet, as she says gifting can sometimes be a bit presumptuous). About an hour ago, she called me to tell me how much she enjoyed dinner, while also asking: "What, no engagement ring hidden in my cake or champagne flute?" I asked: "Is that what you were expecting?" She said: "Expecting? No..." After which she added: "Maybe a tiny bit hoped for? Yes..." At this point, I was stunned (but delightedly so...because I realized some months ago I want nothing less than to spend the rest of my life with this amazing woman). So I asked: "You want to marry a doofus like me." To which, she replied: "Keith, if a doofus I would marry, then you're the doofus for me." I think I'm getting married, guys.

Very difficult Christmas at my flower shop, very slow, only a handful of customers today. I had at least a dozen big beautiful bouquets unsold. Last year I took some to the Ukrainian refugees, this year I wasn’t feeling it, I have my own housing problems and feel a lot of resentment. I did my few messages and then impulsively went back and filled my boot with all the bouquets and took them up to the refugee accommodation, it’s a holiday village up the coast. The waste was too much for me. Well, they were so happy to see me, the staff remembered me from last year. Some women and girls helped me bring them all in, they were all so excited. I ugly cried all the way home. None of this is their fault or my fault. We all are just having a hard time, and I’m blaming the wrong people. I’m glad I did the right thing, I feel a lot better. I hope we’re all in our own homes next Christmas.

@LenValyrian Best friend had a ‘secret Covid baby’ at 47 - thought she was just getting chubs during lockdown. Didn’t realise until around 4 months in. Spent most of the rest in shock.

@PaulEmbery They are not the only ones guilty of cancelling Christmas. The @Waitrose and @Boots ads are two examples of avoiding the 'C' word. @marksandspencer went further, however, by offensively throwing Christmas traditions into the fire 🔥 😳

Sorry to return to this, but this ad really is a stinker. The problem is, most marketing departments are filled with postmodernist, hyper-liberal, individualistic, young, 'progressive' graduates who despise anything that smacks of tradition, religion, cultural mores, etc. Dismal.
