@EyesOnSouth1 Iran meeting with Kushner and Witcoff while getting nothing upfront tells us everything we need to know. They went from no temporary ceasefires to this. Also saw they were trying to include Beirut in the ceasefire but not all of Lebanon now. It does look like the US won.

ما آخر تطوّرات وقف إطلاق النار في لبنان؟ ربطت إيران مشاركتها في مفاوضات باكستان مع الولايات المتحدة بموافقة “إسرائيل” على وقف إطلاق نار في لبنان. وقد توجّه الوفد الإيراني المفاوض إلى باكستان، مع تأكيده للأميركيين أنه لن يشارك في المفاوضات ما لم توافق “إسرائيل” مسبقًا على وقف إطلاق النار في لبنان. كما أبقت طهران على ورقة إغلاق مضيق هرمز، في ظلّ عدم التزام واشنطن وتل أبيب بشرطها بأن تشمل الهدنة لبنان. في المقابل، قامت السلطة في لبنان بإلقاء حبل نجاة لنتنياهو، الذي كان يتعرّض لضغوط للقبول بالهدنة في لبنان، بعدما باتت مرتبطة بنجاح التهدئة الأميركية–الإيرانية. فأعلن نتنياهو قبوله التفاوض المباشر مع لبنان، بناءً على طلب السلطة اللبنانية. وعلى إثر ذلك، جرى تواصل بين سفيرة لبنان وسفير الكيان في واشنطن، برعاية السفير الأميركي في لبنان. وبعد أن كانت إيران تضغط للتوصّل إلى هدنة في لبنان قبل صباح الغد، خلص هذا التواصل اللبناني–الإسرائيلي إلى أن محادثات الهدنة ستُناقش في واشنطن يوم الثلاثاء القادم. بمعنى آخر، تسعى إيران إلى التوصّل لهدنة في لبنان غدًا، بينما تتّجه الدولة اللبنانية إلى تأجيل النقاش إلى يوم الثلاثاء. الخلاصة: موقف طهران يتمثّل في عدم المشاركة في المفاوضات قبل التوصّل إلى هدنة في لبنان، معتبرةً ذلك شرطًا أساسيًا. في المقابل، ترفض الدولة اللبنانية هذه المقاربة وتعمل على تأجيل الهدنة. الساعات القادمة ستحدّد ما إذا كان الضغط الإيراني سيؤدّي إلى فرض هدنة في لبنان، أم أن الوفد الإيراني سيعود من باكستان دون المشاركة في المفاوضات، نتيجة رفض العدو والسلطة اللبنانية لهذا الطرح. وأخيرًا، من المفيد الإشارة إلى أن الهدنة المطروحة تشمل وقف الاعتداءات على لبنان مع بقاء الطرفين، المقاومة والعدو، في مواقعهم. أما مسألة انسحاب العدو، فستكون من بين العناوين التي ستُناقش في باكستان.

Complicated financial deals where both sides claim victory, Lebanon and Gaza being bombed less but still 1-2 times a day or as much as they feel like it.
