I’m saying this as a woman. If your wife or gf is listening to Candace, you have to figure out a way to stop her. I’m happy to help you figure out how to go about doing that. BE CAREFUL. Candace has a spiritual effect over smart women. I edit Candace regularly and I have to pull back because it’s utterly brain rotting—and I don’t believe a word she says. If I’m not prayed up, it will wipe out my energy.

To place her in the same category as “smut novels, soap operas, and TikTok” is neither accurate nor charitable. The sins of slander, gossip, and false witness that you rightly condemn (Prov 6:16–19; Eph 4:29–31; Jas 3:5–10) are grave, but labeling biblically grounded political and cultural commentary as spiritual poison risks bearing false witness itself. Husbands are indeed called to be the spiritual heads of their homes (Eph 5:23–27) and to protect their wives by “the washing of water with the word.” Yet that responsibility does not grant a blanket mandate to micromanage every voice a wife may hear , especially when that voice is defending truths many pastors are afraid to touch. Discernment is required of both husband and wife (Phil 1:9–10; 1 Thess 5:21). A mature believing woman is equipped by the Holy Spirit to “test everything; hold fast what is good” without needing her husband to pre-screen every podcast episode. If a particular episode or pattern of speech from any commentator—Candace Owens, Allie Beth Stuckey, John MacArthur, or anyone else, descends into ungodly bitterness, slander, or pride, then by all means address it together in love, with open Bibles. But painting with so broad a brush that an outspoken Christian woman who challenges feminism and defends biblical anthropology is deemed a threat equivalent to pornography is neither gentle, loving, nor proportionate. Lead your wife, yes. Wash her with the word, absolutely. But do so by modeling humility, teaching her to think critically and biblically herself, and trusting the Holy Spirit who indwells her just as He indwells you. Forbidding exposure to imperfect but faithful voices rarely produces the discernment and maturity Scripture commends; walking through the content together, with grace and truth, usually does. May the Lord grant both husbands and wives wisdom, unity, and a shared hunger for His word above all lesser voices.

Christian men, if your wife is listening to Candace Owens, you have an important and difficult task ahead of you as spiritual head of the home. The scriptures tell husbands to love their wives as “Christ loved the Church, and gave himself for her, washing her with the water of the Word, that he may present her holy and blameless.” Your wife’s spiritual health is your responsibility, and it’s your job to protect her from influences that will rot her soul from the inside out. Find what scripture says about slander, false witness, gossip, and backbiting. Find verses about the importance of filling your mind and heart and mind with truth, goodness, purity, and God’s Word. Talk to her about why she shouldn’t be spending time listening to Candace Owens, even as “mindless entertainment.” Same goes for smut novels, soap operas, TikTok, and the like. Do this gently and lovingly. Never be harsh. Point her to alternate resources that will uplift and encourage her in the Lord. Get some recommendations from your pastor. Allie Beth Stuckey also comes to mind as a solid biblical resource for women. My wife loves listening to Allie and I would highly recommend her. This is a real problem right now. Don’t let your wife’s soul languish under a torrent of gossip and smut.

Candace commented on my Instagram post saying I only disagree with her baselessly implicating Charlie’s friends in his murder because my great-grandfather whom I never met was Jewish. Okay. Also, apparently, she was Charlie’s only true friend. I have been extremely, explicitly clear that Charlie and I had a strong friendship that was completely professional. I’m grateful to be one of many that he shared stages and wisdom with over the years. Charlie’s inner circle - his friends, his coworkers, his WIFE - are the only ones who loved and knew him best and they are the ones we can trust to seek true justice on their behalf.
