Why isn’t the university marking boycott getting more news coverage? Up to 1 in 3 final year students are currently learning they won’t graduate with a grade because of the pay dispute. My daughter - along with many others - has been offered £500 as compensation. After spending £27,750 on course fees, and countless hours and stress doing a dissertation that she was proud of, but has now been told may never be marked. This is outrageous. Quite rightly, students are saying they will tear up their unclassified degrees, because this is offensive. These are the kids who didn’t get to do A levels, because of COVID. They are being let down horrendously. I believe we need to do more to stand up and say this situation is unacceptable. Disputes happen. The grown ups should sort it out and do the right thing by these students now #standwithstudents

@paulsimonmason @joannagtweets He should submit a complaint via their student complaints procedure. This is unfair practice. He should evidence the effect this is having on him. Pursue the process and look up the OIA. Group legal actions will take too long and close this route. He can pursue both if he wishes.

@joannagtweets My son @ Uni of Nottingham has been told to accept his mark or he can’t graduate (2 modules & diss not marked). His friend is graduating without knowing his class and is not sure he will get to do his Masters at another Uni. Total disgrace 😡

@joannagtweets 2 weeks My daughter graduated from @UniStrathclyde with a ‘provisional award’. So upsetting for her after years of hard work. no timescales as to when this will be resolved. I have made an official complaint to the university to question what steps to mitigate this were taken.
