Allowing poorly trained agents to roam our streets, kick down doors without warrants, and shoot people dead in the street is state-sanctioned violence—not immigration policy.
The Trump admin must release all information related to these shootings, and we need independent investigations into each.
These shootings are not inevitable. They are a policy choice being made by Donald Trump and Senate Republicans.

Our Haitian friends and neighbors are facing an incredibly difficult time following the Supreme Court’s decision a few weeks ago that cleared the way for the administration to terminate TPS designation for Haitians. I ask that employers not make this transition any harder by laying workers off preemptively ahead of the expiration of TPS-related work permits next Friday, July 24th.
In May, I directed $3M from our Federal Cuts Response Fund to the refugee resettlement agencies that stand ready to support those losing work authorization and benefits.
I stand with our Haitian community in opposing the Trump Administration’s cruel abandonment of immigrants who came here and abided by a legal immigration process, believing they'd be allowed to build a future here.
