These will be lit up on certain dates and give the look of search lights strifing the Lanc. The other designs looked big and bulky. Thanks for the question, hope you like the structure.

After what has undoubtedly been a nerve wracking and very busy weekend, @LongmateAdy and the team @Bombergateway have placed their beautiful tribute to Bomber Command next to the A46 at Norton Disney. Huge respect to them for achieving what they aimed to. Be proud Lincolnshire!

A corking pic from @CHartleyPhotos of the @RAFBBMF Lanc over the new "On Freedom's Wings" monument in Lincolnshire - Bomber County.

After 8 years of hard work and dedication, a project to design, procure, construct and install a life size sculpture of the Lancaster Bomber at the county border between Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire has been complete.

So today we had the Lancaster bomber from @RAFBBMF come over our newly erected monument. A proud moment for all at the Bomber county gateway trust and anyone who helped get us this far. Thanks to everyone , you are all stars and the photo by Clare Hartley is awesome thankyou.
