Today, BJP govt in Maharashtra announced 70 km of tunnel roads in Mumbai, including a North–South tunnel spanning the city - just like the one planned in Bengaluru. According to the hypocrites in BJP, tunnel roads for Mumbai are good, but for Bengaluru they’re bad. Why is BJP opposing tunnels in a mega-city like Bengaluru while building the same in Mumbai? Bengaluru needs all kinds of infrastructure - Metro, Suburban Rail, Elevated Roads, Tunnel Roads, more buses, PRR, and more. The BJP in Karnataka has the most useless, anti-development leadership, incapable of getting any meaningful funding from the Centre for the state or city. Even after the announcement of the Mumbai tunnels, BJP will still oppose key infrastructure projects in Bengaluru proving yet again that for them, politics matters more than progress.
