Zcash pump got me digging for old wallets. Found one from 2017! This kicked off 5 hours trying to figure out how to actually spend the ZEC. 🤦‍♂️ Nano X + Ledger Live: ZEC app crashes when signing (everything is updated) Edge: Doesn't allow wallet birth date that old. Electrum: unusable because no servers online. Exodus: Only supports 12 word seed phrases. Mobile app wasn't able to pair with my Nano X via bluetooth. Zashi: Doesn't allow wallet birth date that old. Seems to work if you estimate oldest allowed date of October 2018. Looks like it will take many hours to sync and become spendable.

Brazil's authoritarian age verification law became active this month. It won't be implemented by GrapheneOS. Complying would require integrating a mandatory process for each user where a third party service checks government identification and confirms a match using the camera.
