Expanding on @soyposmoderno Blender GNM blending, here is a Houdini HDA that transplant parts (nose, jaw, etc.) between identities while preserving the recipient proportions. The chosen donor part is scaled and transformed to fit and the skin relaxed. github.com/google/GNM

@romboutv @soyposmoderno Those sliders control the hundreds PCA parameters of the model (identity and expression). They are not as intuitive as you may want. The first one for example represent the biggest variation computed across all our scans (usually male to female).

Fresh off the GNM launch (github.com/google/GNM), here’s a closer look at what you can do with it! GNM is fully open-source, meaning that you can build right on top of it. Here I’m using normalized vertex groups in Blender to mask different regions while randomizing identities. And if you want to go beyond realism you can always push these settings further to create stylized characters.

@memo_akten I still love the 2017 piece much more. The visual imperfections of the generated images feel more like paint strokes controlled by your gestures, maybe closer to your original creative vision.

We are the first robot company completing challenging surface cleaning tasks through physical contact in real world environments. Unlike tasks only requiring pick-and-place primitives, cleaning entails tracking complex 3D surfaces whilst wiping them down. We build custom compliant tool heads, and implement impedance-based IK control to track any surface effortlessly, removing the burden of being accurate from the teleoperator.

One reason generative 3D is hard is that the world has barely any 3D training data. Today, most humans on earth will snap a few photos and write paragraphs of text. In contrast, earth has maybe ~50k 3D artists, and each will make maybe ~1k photoreal 3D models over their career.
