@ShadowTW__ @mikenorthw20858 @LylePeters54308 @EricLDaugh Okay well it’s not a slam dunk on the issue. There are a lot of people who also prefer the opposite. Some states like Arizona I believe have already locked their clock. It should be left to the states and not a blanket national law like this.

🚨 JUST IN: The US House just PASSED legislation to abolish seasonal time changes, making Daylight Saving Time PERMANENT, 308-117 The bill now goes to the Senate, supported by President Trump If fully approved, this would mean NO MORE CLOCK CHANGES nationwide ☀️

@imPatrickT @ColinBest1978 When you contact-print a Vista-Vision negative onto a 5-perf 70mm film print, you get a nearly perfect 1.85:1 aspect ratio. That's how most people experienced VistaVision in its heyday.

@ColinBest1978 VistaVision isn't about projection. It's a higher fidelity capture format with a larger image area. It makes for a better DCP, standard 35mm, IMAX and even 70MM presentations.

Here’s a quick refresh on VistaVision for DIGGER and a look at one of the cameras. VistaVision is standard 35mm film that runs horizontally through the gate for a larger negative. Roughly 2x larger. The digital equivalent is a full frame camera like the Sony Venice 2 and FX3.

@RetroBayArea The biggest reason for the move to Vallejo was the large lagoon that would be used for water skiing spectacles. But shortly after opening, pretty much all interest in water skiing died. They haven't used the lagoon or it's massive seating area in decades.

Scenes from Marine World Africa USA in Redwood City, 1985. I loved this place. The original Marine World was better than what Six Flags in Vallejo became. Not that it didn't have its own charm, it did, but Redwood City had something that never got replicated. 🎥: Ken Peterson

These people are ridiculous. They have lost all tethers to a sense of self. Their entire identity now relies on this treasonous hate of America. They make up fantasies of how horrible America never was to justify their need to "fight tyranny." They have no identity but this. And they cling to it with a death grip, because they have nothing else. None of it is true. Not the fantasy about America about which she is shrieking, not her identity of believing herself to be some "hero" in a movie about an oppressive government, and not the resulting congress-free, senate-free, President-free, childish (and completely chaotic) future she sees for this country. She is an infant. She and others like her will not get their way. Not even close. If you have a modicum of common sense, it's time to let your line in the sand about tolerance be made known. Myself, I have a limit to tolerance. I have a limit to patience. I know there is a limit to free speech. If your plan is to tear down the United States of America, if your plan is treason, I will not tolerate you, I will have zero patience for you, and I will not defend your right to free speech. @FBI @FBIDirectorKash

Man... wife and I watched that show, too. That woman was brutal. She also kept doing that thing women do where they bring all their fingers together to point/gesture. This fucking thing. Drives me fucking nuts. All I could think at the end was "she got her husband killed," then profited off of it, and I'd bet with 95% certainty that she's already remarried and is currently ruining some other dude's life.

I take my family here for beach day trips and then we get scowled at for being “tourists” by the local Boomers living in 3 million dollar homes with “no human is illegal” yard signs because we live ever so slightly outside the depicted box. What happens here is my experience of “Bodega Nationalism”.

Lin-Manuel Miranda's Hamilton is one of the great disgraces to an American patriot's memory in modern culture. Alexander Hamilton died the way he lived, defending the republic he helped build, taking a bullet from a sitting vice president rather than betray his principles. He wrote most of the Federalist Papers. He built the financial system that let a broke, war-torn collection of colonies become a country that could actually pay its debts and stand on its own. He created the Coast Guard, the national bank, the customs service. This is a man who genuinely believed in the American project and gave everything to it. And what did we do with that legacy? We turned him into a mixtape. We flattened one of the sharpest constitutional minds this country ever produced into a finger-gun revolutionary who raps about being "young, scrappy and hungry." We took a man whose whole life was an argument for strong institutions, order, and national credit, and sold him to teenagers as an anti-establishment rebel, which is almost the exact opposite of what he actually stood for. The musical skips his elitism, sands down his real politics, and dresses a hard-nosed banker up as a street underdog because it makes a better hook. And the cherry on top: In the musical, the historical character of Alexander Hamilton and the other founding fathers were white, but they are intentionally portrayed by Black, Latino, and Asian actors. The show’s creator, Lin-Manuel Miranda, designed this deliberate casting to tell "America then, as told by America now," and to emphasize the story of immigrants building a nation. An absolute propagandizing of history that the low IQ masses eat up and believe as fact. In a serious country he would be punished for spitting on the memory of the men who actually built this country. This will only keep getting worse as these tribalistic people elect their own members into our institutions. That is not a tribute. That is a costume. A real patriot got buried under a soundtrack, and a whole generation now thinks they know him because they memorized the lyrics.
